For the CS:GO Major de Paris, new BLAST partners are arriving; according to the information provided, the partnership is with three brands of alcoholic beverages.

  • Absolut Vodka

New BLAST partners for the CS:GO Paris Major

This new partnership is the first step towards allowing alcoholic beverages to become sponsors in esports.

The three alcoholic beverage brands in the upcoming CS:GO Paris Major, belongs to Pernod Ricard.

About the Partnership

The brands that partnered with BLAST will be in charge of sponsoring and supporting BLAST’s Overtime Show. The show will feature members of the broadcast team, and all fans can enjoy exclusive behind-the-scenes footage. There will also be a section where the most important players attending the tournament will tell untold stories about current champions, former legends, and the CS:GO community.

In addition, brands will be present in different activities of the event, such as:

  • Immersive experiences during the event
  • Fan-organized celebrations
  • Integration in the global broadcasts of BLAST.tv
  • Digital Branding
  • Social media contests

BLAST’s Commercial Director, Oliver Clarke, recently stated that he is excited to work with these three major brands for BLAST.tv Paris Major. Clarke adds that this is the first large-scale collaboration of these brands with esports.

Oliver Clarke says that with this partnership, they hope to bring valuable content and offer digital integrations and activities to the gaming community.

Sponsorships of esports events

In 1991 in France, a rule was passed that the sponsorship of alcoholic brands in sporting and cultural events is prohibited: So this partnership has caused some confusion among French citizens.

According to French journalist Guillaume ‘neL’ Rathier, this association is a bit strange, considering there are strict regulations for alcoholic beverage advertisements, especially at sporting events.

However, a BLAST representative said the organization knows French constraints and regulations. Therefore, alcoholic brand advertisements can be seen on broadcasts outside of France.

BLAST.tv Paris Major

The BLAST.tv Paris Major will take place from May 8 to 21, where thousands of people can attend at the Accor Arena in the Bercy district. We are talking about the last CS:GO Major before Counter-Strike 2 starts to be part of the tournaments.

On the other hand, a few days ago, BLAST made a one-year agreement with the online betting platform Unikrn to be part of the BLAST Premier circuit and the Paris Major.
