MOUZ qualify for ESL Pro League S18 playoffs

After a new day of action in the ESL Pro League S18, we have the third qualifier of Group B for the playoffs. It is none other than MOUZ, a team that has shown great play in this tournament and undoubtedly deserves this qualification to the next phase.

The European squad crushed MIBR 2-0 to seal their ticket to the playoffs. On the other hand, MIBR will have to play for their lives in the Lower Bracket against Evil Geniuses and, if they win against Monte, fight for the last playoff berth in Group B.

We have enjoyed a spectacular tournament and, in Group B, we have experienced some surprises and completely unexpected results. However, this is part of this new CS:GO ecosystem that, although it is coming to an end with the imminent release of CS2, there is no doubt that it is now more competitive than ever.

MOUZ crush MIBR to qualify for the ESL Pro League S18 playoffs

As we mentioned, MOUZ started this match with the label of clear favorites; that is, all the bookmakers were giving the team as the winner, and they were not wrong. As a result, after two maps, MOUZ crushed the Brazilian squad, MIBR, in every way to seal their ticket to the ESL Pro League S18 playoffs.

The series between MOUZ and MIBR took place in Vertigo and Inferno.

Vertigo

It all started at Vertigo, the always obligatory map pick of MIBR, where we had an exceptional, intense, and, above all, very exciting match. In the first half, MIBR stuck out its chest on its CT side to take the tight partial victory by 8-7. Then, at the change of sides, MOUZ started to work little by little, avoiding the offensives of the Brazilians, and, after 15 rounds, the European squad took the victory by 16-14.

Inferno

Then, for the second map, Inferno, the teams had to leave everything in each round, as they knew that the qualification to the playoffs of this ESL Pro League S18 depended on it. It all started with an offensive recital shown by MOUZ, who, on their T-side, achieved a very good partial victory in the first half by 10-5.

Finally, at the change of sides, the Brazilians did not even have the chance to wake up, as MOUZ’s defense was so relentless that they won the first 6 consecutive rounds to take the victory by 16-5. As a result, MOUZ sealed their ticket to the ESL Pro League S18 playoffs, while MIBR will have to play for their lives in the Lower Bracket against Monte Esports.
