Mikyx named MVP of the LEC 2023

Better late than never! This adage is true in the League of Legends EMEA scene, as 24-year-old experienced G2 Esports player Mihael “Mikyx” Mehle is named MVP of the LEC 2023.

This becomes the first time in his career that the G2 Esports Support has won an individual title in the LEC. Since 2016 he made his debut on the professional LoL scene, Mikyx has been one of the best European players, as he has demonstrated a high and, above all, consistent level of play. However, it wasn’t until his eighth season in the league that he took home an individual title and is no more than an MVP.

Through a post on the official LEC account, Riot Games announced Mihael “Mikyx” Mehle as the LEC 2023 MVP.

There is no doubt that Mikyx became one of the most reliable and consistent Supporters in the entire EMEA region, no matter what team he is with.

Since his debut in 2016 with Fnatic, Mikyx has been part of Splyce, Misfit Gaming, G2 Esports, and Excel Esports. However, in 2022, he didn’t have a great year, to say the least, as playing under the Excel banner, the player couldn’t help his team much. However, in his return to G2 in 2023, he has managed to be among the LEC All-Pro Teams in all three Splits, and, finally, this earned him to be awarded as MVP of the year.

Amazing summer for Mikyx

While Mikyx had a really good Winter and Spring Split, he is smashing all stats in this Summer Split. The G2 Esports Support is in the TOP 3 in KDA with 5.5, Assists per game with 14.6, and kill participation with 78.4%. Also, it is worth noting that this concerns all Supports worldwide, according to Games of Legends, the LoL stats page.

In the MVP voting, we have in second place one of Mikyx’s teammates in G2, Martin “Yike” Sundelin (Jungler), and in third place, also in G2, Steven “Hans Sama” Liv.

Similarly, if we extend a little more on these votes, we can see that, of the 6 players who received votes for MVP, only Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski (Team Heretics) is not part of the G2 Esports squad.

G2 Esports will play Worlds 2023 and, of course, will fight for the LEC Season Finals 2023 champion trophy, which ends next September 10, 2023.
