M80 announces signing of slaxz-

As anticipated a few hours ago, M80 confirmed the signing of Fritz “slaxz-” Dietrich as the new AWPer for CS2.

This move comes after M80 announced that Adam “WolfY” Andersson was dropped from the team’s starting roster two days ago. As a result, slaxz- will take WolfY’s place and undoubtedly give M80 a lot more firepower, considering that the team’s new signing is a versatile AWPer and an excellent performer.

There is no doubt that both M80 and the team’s fans must be pleased with this signing. It is no secret that the team has not been performing as expected, and a change of scenery could give them the confidence to unlock their full potential.

Through a post on their official Twitter/X account, M80 announced the signing of slaxz- as the new AWPer of their CS2 starting lineup. Also, as evident, slaxz- fills the spot left in the roster by WolfY, who was sent to the inactive list last Sunday, November 12.

With this signing, M80 remains as they were, i.e., with a mostly NA squad, with Marcus “maNkz” Kjeldsen (Denmark) being the other European on the team. Recall that slaxz- is German.

Keeping a mostly NA lineup is crucial for M80, as the team will want to contest the next RMRs in the Americas, and the first of them is very close to starting, as the first CS2 Major will be played in March 2024.

About slaxz-

The 24-year-old German became known thanks to his excellent performance in the RMRs and the IEM Rio Major 2022 with Sprout. However, the player’s performance dropped, and after bad results, he was dropped from the team.

Then, Slaxz returned to ALTERNATE aTTaX to play the 2023 season, and there is no doubt that this new incursion in this German squad helped him show his best competitive level. During the 2023 season, the German AWPer had an impressive rating of 1.20, which caught the attention of not only M80 but also many other organizations around the world.

Slaxz- already played his first official match in the M80 jersey at the Open Qualifiers for the upcoming NA ESL Challenger Atlanta 2023. In this match, the North American organization faced Xiaoma and achieved a solid 13-3 victory. Also, it is worth mentioning that slaxz- performed well, with a good score of 12-5.
