LCS Spring week 3 predictions

LCS Spring 2023 is about to enter its third week and so far, all of the favorites are doing well.

Some LoL fans might be surprised that FlyQuest are undefeated after the first two weeks, but those who are familiar with the competitive level of the South Korean region understand too well that a team with three South Koreans on the roster cannot possibly fail in North America.

First impressions

The biggest question mark at the start of the 2023 season was 100 Thieves. This team changed almost its entire roster and signed retired veterans like Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng. After the first two weeks, it’s quite clear that he still knows how to play the game and win against the best competitors in his region.

100 Thieves’ current record is 3 W – 1 L. The only team that managed to beat them was Cloud9.

Week 3 predictions

Week 3 of LCS Spring will feature 10 matches and at least four of them will be very interesting to watch.

• FlyQuest vs. Evil Geniuses
• Team Liquid vs. 100 Thieves
• FlyQuest vs. 100 Thieves
• Evil Geniuses vs. Cloud9

These four matches involve all of the top teams in the North American league and the fans are eager to see what Doublelift and others can do to win them.

Based on what we’ve seen so far, defeating FlyQuest will be very difficult. But the best-of-one format makes the event a bit more likely.

The match between Team Liquid and 100 Thieves will be Doublelift’s chance to prove himself against one of his former LCS teams. Arguably, that period, between 2017 and 2020, was the most successful one of his entire career.
