While it is true that many organizations are considering making changes to their CS:GO lineups, one of them, Virtus.pro, announced the contract extension of their IGL, Dzhami “Jame” Ali, for four years.

This is excellent news for the player, the organization, and the team’s fans, as Jame is widely considered one of the best IGLs and AWPers in the CS:GO competitive scene. Furthermore, this ratifies the organization’s commitment to this core of players who were able to lift the IEM Rio Major 2022 champions trophy.

Virtus.pro announce Jame’s contract extension

Through an official press release and announced on their Twitter account, Virtus.pro announced the contract extension of their IGL, Jame, for the next four years.

In the team’s official press release, Virtus.pro CEO Nikolai Petrossian said that Jame was a spectacular player, and they consider him the “backbone” of their CS:GO lineup. In addition, Petrossian also mentioned that, currently, there are very few IGLs in the competitive scene who can understand the game as Jame does. Also, he has an impressive tactical thinking and skill level. Finally, Petrossian said that one of the most important tasks of the organization was to renew Jame’s contract.

On the other hand, Jame also gave some emotional words referring to Virtus.pro as his “second home.”. Also, he said that deciding to extend the contract with the organization was extremely easy.

Full line-up for Virtus.pro?

While it is true that this summer transfer market is filled with many rumors and possible moves, Virtus.pro will likely stay as they are right now. The competitive scene is dramatically increasing its level, and starting to forge the foundations of a team with new members is not easy.

In addition, Virtus.pro is coming off the heels of an increase in the level of play by sealing their ticket to the ESL Pro League S18, as they defeated ENCE in the Grand Final of the ESL Challenger Katowice. This victory is undoubtedly the biggest the team has achieved since they returned to their historical name, Virtus.pro. Recall that after Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, VP players had to play under the name Outsiders, a neutral flag team. All this resulted from the ties of the former owner of the organization with the government of Vladimir Putin, President of Russia.

However, the VP (Outsiders) lineup wrote another page in the Counter-Strike history book by becoming champions of the IEM Rio Major 2022.

Jame is one of the strangest AWPers in the CS:GO competitive scene. However, that doesn’t take away from the fact that he has a lot of talent and the ability to make spectacular plays. Furthermore, the 24-year-old already knows what it’s like to win a Major in his career, so the organization hopes that Jame can lead them to success in the new era of CS2.
