Spain is completely obsessed with football. What made you choose Counter-Strike? When did you start playing the game?

I started at the age of 8. I have three more brothers and I was watching one of my older brothers playing the game. So I picked it up.

What can you tell me about ENCE’s recent results? From the outside, nobody understands how, all of a sudden, you guys have started to play so well. What’s the secret ingredient or what have you changed in recent months?

We changed most of our routines and we started to develop really good habits outside the server. We’re friends and everything is going well for us.

Would you say that your mental state and the relationships between yourselves are playing a big role in how you perform at tournaments?

Yes, 100%. We support each other a lot!

If Movistar Riders win their next match, you will have to play against your former team. Do you think that gives you an advantage because of your familiarity with ALEX’s way of playing CS:GO?

No, I don’t think it’s an advantage. It will be a really nice match-up. We know each other quite well.

Do you think that CS:GO players improvise a lot and stray significantly from their usual playstyle during matches? To what extent can you rely on your previous knowledge of an individual’s playstyle?

Each player has his own understanding of the game, trying to follow some basics and then adjust his playstyle based on what is going on. Every good player needs to improvise sometimes.

What is ENCE’s objective in the playoffs?

We just try to have fun and go as far as we can. We’re not focusing on winning trophies, just on improving as a team.

Excluding ENCE, who do you think are the best two teams in the playoffs?

Vitality and G2.

What about Na’Vi?
They played well in the group stage and I respect them a lot. But I still think they’re a new team and will need more time to develop.

How much time do you think it takes for a team to develop a fluent playstyle?

It depends on the players and the chemistry between them. When I joined Movistar it took me two months to start playing well. But when I joined ENCE I needed 6-7 months. So it really depends on a lot of factors.

What do you think of CS2 so far?

I don’t like the game that much. It looks really good but it’s not exactly playable in competitive matches.

Ok. Thank you for the interview and good luck at the tournament!

Thank you!
