How to complete the Flight Recon mission in DMZ mode in Warzone 2

We continue with the guides on completing the different missions that the new Warzone 2 game mode, DMZ, has. This time, we will have the Flight Recon mission, so keep reading if you want to know the best way to complete it and take all the loot.

Flight Recon

The great thing about faction missions in Warzone 2 DMZ mode is that they can change how the game plays out every time you complete one. So many times, you have to collect junk items, take down some entire fortresses, or do a relaxing flight in a helicopter.

Now, the Flight Recon mission is straightforward to complete; the trickiest part is getting to the helicopter you need before another player and thus getting the successful extraction.

You must complete five of the six missions available in the level one White Lotus faction to access this mission. Flight Recon will be unlocked upon completion, and you can add it to the list of active missions.

Flight Recon – How to complete

Once you select the mission and have it in the active list, launch the game in DMZ mode.

When you deploy, you will need to locate the Light Helo. This is the only working helicopter to complete the mission and is located at Al Malik Airport, just off the runway.

Al-Malik Airport is generally one of the most visited POIs by players to take on AI fighters and complete different missions or contracts. That is why we recommend trying it in another game if you appear too far from the area.

If, on the other hand, you appear close and can reach the Light Helo, get on it and head immediately to the heliport located in Hafid Port. This site is located at the western end of Al Mazrah.

You will then need to land very carefully on the helipad, exit the helicopter, and press the interaction button to download the Light Helo’s flight path data.

Once you have done this, the mission is over. You only need to search for the nearest extraction point to end the game.

You can use the Light Helo again, but be aware that it may be low on fuel. So, we recommend looking for a standard extraction point with a fast flight and an emergency exit. Always go with your whole squadron, as it is much quicker and, above all, safer.

Completing this mission will reward you with 10,000 XP plus the Steel Ghost Blueprint, a skin for the X13 pistol.
