Winter holiday is the time to sit down with the family, so you might as well decide to advocate for video games and convince everyone from aunt to cousin that gaming doesn’t automatically mean signing your soul to the devil. In this article, you will find four titles available for different consoles and gaming systems that will make even grandma addicted.

Video game experience doesn’t have to be just a solo experience — you can get your family involved too. Or at least try.

Multiplayer games that can be played locally are also a great way to show your family that gaming together can be super fun, and give them more insight into the world of gaming and esports. That’s why we’ve compiled a list of four video games that are ideal for all ages, some of which can replace the game of bingo.

Nintendo

We can’t start our compilation of games for the whole family without considering Nintendo’s products. The Japanese video game giant has a very long tradition of family-friendly products, starting with the various Mario multiplayer games. If you’re looking for a gaming experience that’s easy for everyone and where up to eight people can play at the same time, you need Mario Kart. In the shoes of the characters from this iconic series, you’ll be able to traverse some of the most iconic environments. The only problem is that you need a controller for each player.

Push Me, Pull You

If you have a Playstation console instead, you should play Push Me Pull You. This video game is easier to play than to explain. It is played by four people, but only with two controllers because the two teams of two have to use a part of a pad each. The goal is to score goals in reverse by controlling one half of a strange two-headed character. A game that will above all put your coordination to the test.

Heave Ho

A game that requires perfect coordination with three other players is Heave Ho, available for Nintendo Switch and PC. The game has a lot to do with physics, but that’s also what makes it so absurd and funny, as it forces four players to find the perfect timing to progress through increasingly deadly levels filled with sharp spikes, buzz saws and acid barrels.

Overcooked 2

The last game is available on all platforms and is called Overcooked 2.0. The sequel of the popular title brings you the world of kitchen management in multiplayer, with a couple of new mechanics, including ingredient throwing. Harmless fun for the whole family, where you can also really let off steam.
