The ESL Pro League S17 has already completed its list of participating teams with just under a month to go. Once again, the top international Counter-Strike: Global Offensive league will have a stellar lineup of teams and players with no shortage of big names.

Of the 32 contenders for the title currently held by Team Vitality, 21 were confirmed. Some were ESL partners, winners of some of the ESL Challenger circuit stops, or others because of their ESL world ranking. These teams have now been joined by the remaining 11, which come from the different regions into which the ESL Pro League Conference has been divided.

ESL Pro League S17 – Details

The ESL has presented the four groups competing in the ESL Pro League Season 17. The accumulated prize pool is $850,000, which will kick off next February 22, 2023. The 32 CS:GO teams are divided into four groups of eight teams.

The ESL Pro League S17 Group Stage will be completely different from the format it was used to, i.e., the ESL round-robin format. Now, the organizers will use the triple-elimination form for each group, where the top teams from each group advance to the playoffs.

On the other hand, the champions of each of the four groups advance directly to the quarterfinals and the runners-up to the round of 16. On the other hand, the third and fourth-place finishers advance to the round of 16 as top and bottom seeds, respectively.

As for the playoffs, the ESL maintains the single-elimination bracket format. All matches in this phase will be played in best-of-three, except for the grand final on March 26, which will be played in best-of-five.
