The Finnish organization ENCE has moved the rifler Valdemar “valde” Bjørn Vangså to the inactive roster.

The decision came made in light of the team’s dismal showing at IEM Katowice, where they lost to Cloud9 and Complexity in the play-ins and were subsequently ousted from the event. The Finnish team’s failure in Katowice was heartbreaking, but it was just one of the many dismal outcomes the team has had ever since Lotan “Spinx” Giladi joined Vitality in 2022.

Henri “HENU” Ylilehto, an academy player, will fill in for the team at the next CCT Central Europe Malta Finals while the organization looks for a permanent replacement. He will have large shoes to fill because Valde was one of the team’s most experienced players, with an overall HLTV rating of 1.05 in the last three months. Along with impressive Average Damage per Round, Deaths per Round, and Kills Per Round, the 27-year-old Danish rifler also has an impact rating of 1.08.

Valde’s unfruitful stint with ENCE comes to an end

ENCE was unable to duplicate the success they had with the Israeli rifler and failed to place high at major CS:GO competitions like the ESL Pro League 16 and IEM Rio Major, where they placed 17–20th and 9–11th, respectively. Most recently, they took part in the closed qualifier for IEM Brazil 2023 but failed to secure a spot at the main event.

The team were relegated to the lower bracket early on following a 2-1 defeat against HONORIS. In the lower bracket, the squad made a brilliant comeback and thrashed Big News Eagles and Monte in a row before getting eliminated by BIG in the semifinals.

Valde offered more experience to the team even if he was unable to make up for the lost firepower following Spinx’s departure. Valde is superior to Spinx in terms of ranking against the top 10 teams, experience, and accomplishments. He has multiple DreamHack titles to his name, including DreamHack Masters Stockholm 2018, DreamHack Open Valencia 2018, DreamHack Open Tours 2018, and DreamHack Open Monreal 2017.

He also won the ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2017 and International Gaming League 2016 in addition to those two competitions. He was also named MVP for DreamHack Open Valencia 2018 and Flashpoint 2, and he was regarded as the 20th-best player in 2018 by HLTV.

The Danish rifle’s best result with ENCE, on the other hand, came at the ESL Challenger at DreamHack Rotterdam 2022, where the team came in second after losing to Outsiders in the championship match. The team’s fifth to sixth place finishes at the 2022 Elisa Masters Espoo also rank as a noteworthy accomplishment.

ENCE’s current CS:GO lineup is:

  •  Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer
  •  Paweł “dycha” Dycha
  •  Pavle “Maden” Bošković
  •  Alvaro “SunPayus” Garcia
  •  Henri “HENU” Ylilehto (stand-in)
  • Eetu “sAw” Saha (coach)
