The VCT offseason is still in full swing, and we still have many teams making changes and others planning for next season.
Not only are VCT teams looking for players, but they also understand that Head Coaches are important in a team’s structure. With that said, we have Fnatic, one of the best VALORANT teams in the world, announced the hiring of Chris “Elmapuddy” Tebbit as the new Head Coach for VCT 2024.
This marks a new leap in Elmapuddy’s career, as, let’s remember, the Australian has had many changes in region, league, and countries in his career. However, this only indicates that he is a very flexible coach, able to adapt to any situation, and, above all, has experience in several regions worldwide.
Fnatic announce the signing of Elmapuddy as new Head Coach
Through a post on its official Twitter/X account, Fnatic announced the signing of Elmapuddy as the new Head Coach of its VALORANT division. This move is fundamental for the structure of Fnatic, who wants to be back on top of the competitive scene in VCT 2024.
Join us in giving a warm welcome to @Elmapuddy as our new VALORANT Head Coach!

Elmapuddy jumped from CS:GO to VALORANT in 2021 and from NA to Pacific when he signed with Gen.G. However, he now decides to jump the pond again to join one of the best teams in the world and, of course, in EMEA, Fnatic.
The Australian coach came to Gen.G when they were still playing in NA, but after the team’s move to the Pacific, he decided to stay with the team when they moved to Korea. Finally, in VCT 2023, he helped his team finish fourth in the VCT Pacific League.
However, it’s not the same, not even close, to coaching a team like Fnatic, as in addition to having a roster full of excellent players, they are one of the best in the world. Remember that Fnatic won the VCT LOCK//IN São Paulo and the VCT Masters Tokyo in 2023. However, the team started to falter at the end of the season and failed to win the VCT EMEA League and VCT Champions 2023.
Fnatic and its desire to come back strong in 2024
While the season did not end the way Fnatic wanted it to, there is no doubt that they are preparing to come back stronger and dominate the VCT Tier 1 scene again. There is no doubt that Fnatic is currently among the TOP 4 best teams on the planet and can beat anyone, anytime.
On the other hand, Elmapuddy comes to a team with winning blood without ever having won anything in VALORANT. As a result, this makes us think that it is a bit of a risky bet by Fnatic, but, as we mentioned, the Australian coach knows perfectly well how to make a team full of players from different countries and regions work.
From now on, we can only wait and see how Fnatic will perform with Elmapuddy as the new Head Coach and his first foray will be at RedBull Homegrounds #4 in early November.
