Dota 2 patch 7.35b is full of excellent heroes for the support position. But some of them are vastly more successful than others. In this guide, I’ll present three of them.

Witch Doctor

Witch Doctor is one of the most picked heroes in Dota 2 right now. You will encounter him in almost a quarter of your matches and ideally, he should be on your team.

This hero can destroy entire enemy lineups using a combination of Maledict, Paralyzing Cask, and Death Ward. In particular, the last of these three abilities is powerful at every stage of the game because it deals pure damage in high amounts. Being able to swap targets from such a long distance guarantees that your smoke ganks will be successful. All you need to do is swap a target, use your Magic Missle, continue with Wave of Terror to decrease its armor by 6 and then attack. If enough allies are nearby, there is almost nothing that the enemy team can do to stop your combination.

Oracle

Oracle is the perfect support for situations in which you have a high-damage core that can be easily killed, but could kill the entire enemy team if kept alive for long enough. Examples include Phantom Assassin, Anti-Mage, Huskar, and Terrorblade. These heroes greatly benefit from Oracle’s False Promise, which lasts for 7 – 10s.
