Yasin “Nisqy” Dinçer has signed for Fnatic, having been a free agent for just one week following his release from Cloud9. The Belgian mid laner will return to Europe in joining Fnatic, who have finally unveiled their latest addition to its LEC roster after weeks of speculation.

Nisqy spent over two years with Cloud9, however he will now act as starting mid laner for Fnatic for the 2021 season, replacing Tim “Nemesis” Lipovšek, who has now become a free agent himself. Nisqy is a former member of the Fnatic Academy, who he represented back in 2017. The 22-year-old will now be looking to make a name for the organization’s main roster, having also played for the likes of Team EnVyUs and Splyce, before landing at Cloud9 in November 2018.

Why Fnatic Signed Nisqy

The Belgian has made a name for himself in the LCS, where he won the LCS Spring Playoffs earlier this year, as well as finishing in second place in the Summer Split. However, after Cloud9 failed to qualify for the 2020 World Championship as a result of failing to get to grips with meta changes, it was ultimately a disappointing end to the year. However, Nisqy showed that he has the experience and skills to mix it at the highest level, making him a fine acquisition for Fnatic.

Speaking on his arrival, Fnatic League team director, Javier “dardo” Zafra had the following to say: “Nisqy is a top quality mid laner that has done an amazing job in Cloud9. He has the perfect mix of skill and personality that will improve the team a lot for 2021 and beyond, so we’re thrilled to add him to our starting roster.”

What Other Moves Can We Expect from Fnatic?

Now that the arrival of Nisqy has been made official, followers of Fnatic will be hoping for additional roster updates. This includes the announcement of a new AD carry, following the departure of Rekkles, with Elias “Upset” Lipp having been heavily linked. The former Origen marksmen most recently spent two months with Astralis.
Nisqy will team up with Gabriel “Bwipo” Rau, Hylissang and Oskar “Selfmade” Boderek at Fnatic, in what is an exciting looking roster ahead of the new season.
