Call of Duty Season 02: The Rundown

From a collaboration with a popular TV series to several new weapons and multiplayer modes, Call of Duty’s Season 02 for 2024 will have explosive additions to an already massive update!

Here are some of the essentials you need and you must anticipate for your gameplays in Warzone, Multiplayer, and MWZ!

 

THE WALKING DEAD COLLABORATION

Among the season’s most prominent additions are that of Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead into the Season’s Battle Pass list of operators. 

 

“After being shot in the line of duty, Sheriff’s Deputy Rick Grimes awoke from a coma to find the world irrevocably changed. He traveled through this new apocalyptic wasteland, first to find his family and later to search for a safe and secure home for them. His combat skills and strong moral center catapulted him into a position of leadership among the survivors, with whom he quickly formed strong familial bonds — especially with Michonne,” said Activision in its website.

 

Also to be released is an in-game bundle featuring Michonne Grimes. “Michonne has endured much since the world changed, but those experiences have helped shape her into an apocalyptic warrior with intuition and combat skills that are second to none. She carries a pair of killer blades, along with a Finishing Move, two Weapon Blueprints with tracers, a Charm, a Sticker, and a Weapon Decal,” according to Activision’s latest release.

 

KATE LASWELL AND OTHER OPERATORS

After three Modern Warfare (reboot) games, players can finally get to try out playing as Watcher 1-1.

 

Kate Laswell’s operator skin will finally be made available as a free Battle Pass reward.

 

“Kate Laswell began her career in communications, where she was quickly recognized for her advanced strategic analysis and climbed the CIA ranks. Across her tenure, she has saved tens of thousands of lives with her detainee information, and now works closely with select special agents to respond to terrorist activity across the globe,” says her bio in the Season 02 blog.

 

Also included in the season will be a John Doe operator as part of the Blackcell offering, and other store offerings such as the Tracer Pack: Resonance Ultra Skin; Aberration Ultra Skin; Tracer Pack — Full Kit: Dragon Soul: Lunar New Year; the Zombies: Aether Worm Pack, the Tracer Pack: Dune Part Two: Harkonnen Pack, and others expected to be released within Season 02.

 

LEVEL CAP RAISED

A whole new level of play is expected in Season 2, as the level cap will be raised to Level 450 from the current 250. With the new Prestige levels released, here are some of the packages and rewards that will be included:

NEW WEAPONS AND AMP’S

 

Four new weapons are expected to be introduced this season, alongside a host of different and unique aftermarket parts. The descriptions were all provided by Activision’s website.

 

BATTLE PASS UNLOCKS:

BP50 Assault Rifle: “Offering exceptional maneuverability and a spectacular rate of fire compared to other rifles in its class, this Corvus-built armament can cut down the opposition in a variety of rapid and impressive ways.”

 

RAM-9 SMG: This appears to be a conversion of the RAM-7 for SMG use. “Offering among the best-in-class recoil control and mobility, as well as the most rounds and reserve of any SMG, the RAM-9 may not win any pinpoint accuracy awards, but it can certainly mow down the opposition with high-damage, chamber-emptying assaults.” 

 

DURING SEASON:

SOA Subverter Battle Rifle: “With excellent rate of fire and accuracy, manageable recoil, and best-in-class sprint-to-fire and movement speeds, this also offers excellent headshot and target flinch potential, even in its base state.”

 

Soulender: “A vicious blade of impeccably forged steel, the Soulrender one-handed sword slices quickly and deeply, with rapid slashes — use your Aim button while holding “Fire” enables a guard stance. Release the guard for an instant slice, allowing for expert timing when rapidly approaching a victim.”

 

AFTERMARKET PARTS: 

JAK Burnout
Compatibility: Holger 26 LMG
Gives the Holger a select fire mode called JAK Burnout that provides a dramatically increased fire rate but can overheat and expand the barrel, introducing spread.
