The online qualifiers for the CDL Major IV are history, and we already know the eight teams starting in the Winners Bracket starting next Thursday. In addition, we have OpTic Texas emerging as the clear favorite to win Major IV, thanks to a perfect run in these qualifiers of 5-0.
OpTic has proven that its arrival at the Majo III Grand Final was not a coincidence and even less so because it played at home and with the public on its side. On the contrary, the team continues at a spectacular level of play, and each player is on the same wavelength.
One of the big surprises of these qualifiers has been the terrible performance of the reigning champions, Toronto Ultra, who only won one game in the tournament. So now, without further ado, let’s see what happened in this third week of the online qualifiers for Major IV.

Seattle Surge close week 3 with two wins
One of these online qualifiers’ big positive surprises was the Seattle Surge’s spectacular level. After being crushed in the first game in the first week against Los Angeles Thieves, they recovered and won the remaining four to finish at the top of the table.
The Surge have two perfect days in the third and final week of the online qualifiers. On Saturday, April 15, they crushed Atlanta FaZe with an excellent 3-0. In this series, Amer “Pred” Zulbeari shined and finished with a K/D ratio of 1.50.

In Sunday’s game, Seattle applied the same dose, but this time against LA Guerrillas, a team that did not win a single game in the tournament. This time, Daunte “Sib” Gray led his team to victory and finished with a K/D ratio of +1.25.

New York Subliners also finish the tournament with a 4-1 record
The Major I champions, New York Subliners, have awakened after being in the shadows during Major II and III. The Subliners managed to win four of their five matches and, as a result, finished in the top eight and will start the main event from the Winners Bracket.
In the third week, the NY Subliners have two very good wins against London Royal Ravens (3-1) and Boston Breach (3-0) to close an excellent tournament and prove that they are back and will fight for glory again. In addition, with this latest win, the Subliners have a record of 5-0 against the Breach.

Los Angeles Thieves and Las Vegas Legion hit the ground running
In the final week of the qualifiers, LA Thieves played just one game, while Las Vegas Legion played in a couple of opportunities. However, both teams were victorious in their games and put their record at 4-1 to finish in the TOP3 of the standings.
Los Angeles Thieves faced Minnesota RØKKR, a team that did not show their best possible level in this tournament. Nevertheless, the Californian team took the victory with a comfortable score of 3-0, thus securing second place in the table.

Las Vegas Legion, meanwhile, opened the curtain on Week 3 with a tough 3-2 win over Toronto Ultra. There is no doubt that this match was full of emotions and that either team could have won. However, Las Vegas Legion have a decisive Eli “Standy” Bentz, who led them to victory.

In the second match, Las Vegas Legion did not have many complications, as they faced the worst team in the qualifiers, Florida Mutineers, and took a comfortable 3-1 victory. While the Mutineers managed to win the first game at Hardpoint (Mercado Las Almas), Las Vegas applied a spectacular reverse sweep and took the win.
With that win, @LasVegasLegion move into the 8th Seed in the #CDL2023 Point Standings.
