T1 Considering Signing Curry for VALORANT Roster

If rumors are to be believed, Rahul “Curry” Nemani could well be set to make the switch from CS:GO to VALORANT, as T1 Esports eye a move for the 18-year-old. More than one report has talked up the chances of such a move coming to fruition, with the American seemingly being high on T1’s wanted list.

The T1 VALORANT roster is currently made up by a mixture of Korean and North American players, with the organization being on the lookout for a new fifth player, following the departure of Braxton “brax” Pierce and Keven “AZK” Lariviere. Curry is currently listed as a substitute for the Rebirth Esports team, despite having recently helped them in finishing as runner up at the DreamHack Open 2021: North America just last month. Rebirth was beaten by PaiN Gaming in the Grand Final.

How Curry Made His Name in CS:GO

Having previously competed under the banner of Triumph, Curry joined Alan “Shakezullah” Hardeman’s team in April last year, replacing Peter “Asuna” Mazuryk in the process. With Curry on board, Triumph overcame TeamOne in the ESEA Season 33: Premier Division North America finals, before winning the Mythic League EPL Cup 1. However, despite such success, Curry parted ways with the team after just four months in order to pursue his education.

T1 is looking to make significant changes after its disappointing showing at the VALORANT Champions Tour Qualifier, with ex-CS:GO pro Timothy “Autimatic” Ta having been added to the lineup, while former Cloud9 favorite David Dennis has arrived as head coach. As such, the signing of Curry would likely be the final roster change for T1 at this stage.

How the T1 VALORANT Lineup Would Look with Curry On Board

The T1 VALORANT roster is currently made up by Autimatic, Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham, Ha “Spyder” Jung-woo and captain Sam “DaZeD” Marine. We will await official confirmation of Curry’s arrival, however the CS:GO pro, who has played for the likes of InControl Gaming, Team Devine and Under21 over the years, is looking likely to become the latest Esports player to make the switch from CS:GO to VALORANT.
