Not everything in the life of a professional esports player is to stand out in his favorite video game because if you are a terrible person, chances are you won’t get far.
That’s what has happened to professional Apex Legends player Jaeden “Caprah” Valle, who, at just 16 years of age, has given up his career in the competitive scene after several abusive messages he sent came to light.
TL ; DR
I will no longer be attending the upcoming London event, as we, a team, have made a decision.
I know and will own up to the mistakes I have made in the past year, I'm sorry to everyone who believed in me and I will most likely not be playing Split 2 Pro League.— Caprah (@Caprah_) January 6, 2023
Caprah retires for being toxic
Apex’s promising young talent, Caprah, said he would no longer attend the ALGS playoffs in London. As well as announcing that he would not be participating in the Split Two Pro League after his toxic messages were leaked.
These toxic messages were towards another Apex pro player, Nicholas “Sikezz” Odom, who currently plays for XSET. Caprah made very offensive comments about Sikezz on Discord last December 23.

As we can see, Sikezz was in charge of publicizing the offensive messages from Caprah. He also explained that many important personalities of Apex have tried to make Caprah stop acting in a toxic way “behind closed doors,” but he has not changed his ways.
Sikezz mentioned that:
“It’s not about getting him canceled for me; it’s about opening his eyes.”
Other personalities within Apex Legends have expressed surprise at the news, such as Philip “ImperialHal” Dosen, a TSM player.

Others like Bowen “Monsoon” Fuller point out that:
“Absolutely unacceptable. He has to grow up real quick”
Absolutely unacceptable. He has to grow up real quick. Doesn’t matter what middle school drama you think you’re apart of, life is fragile, emotions are complicated. Playing into and enabling hateful emotions even in private is toxic and unhealthy. Be good to people & yourself

Discussions on Twitter about these offensive messages from Caprah
These messages created an atmosphere of debate on Twitter, and many professionals and content creators joined. For example, Mac “Albralelie” Beckwith attacked Caprah saying:
“I literally never hear anything good about this kid outside of his mechanics. Such a shame and waste of his skill.”

Caprah’s response was swift; hours after Sikkez exposed him for toxic behavior on Twitter, the 16-year-old said he would “own his mistakes” and no longer compete in the Apex Legends scene.
Capra’s entire message reads:
“I will no longer be attending the upcoming London event, as we, a team, have made a decision. I know and will own up to the mistakes I have made in the past year, I’m sorry to everyone who believed in me, and I will most likely not be playing Split 2 Pro League.”
However, popular streamer and pro player ImperialHal also pointed out that he was immature when he was 16 and that Caprah should reconsider his drastic decision to leave Apex Legends for good. Still, there seems to be no turning back.
As a competitor it hurts for this to be the result after all that work of Pro league and i wish there was a world where you could still play but understand your actions are wrong and improve as a player. I've been in your exact shoes before where i was a great player at

To this post, Caprah immediately responded with the following:
“There will be no point in me finishing/playing this game, my eyes were opened, and I will never play competitive Apex ever again. I don’t know if I’m a wasted talent, but there is no place for me in this community anymore.”
There will be no point for me to compete/play this game, they opened my eyes and I won't play competitive apex ever again. I don't know if I'm wasted talent, but there is no spot for me in this community anymore

There is still time for him to reconsider
The ALGS Split One Playoff begins on February 2, 2023, so the team still has time to talk to the player and see if he will reconsider his decision.
