BLAST Premier: Spring Final group B preview

BLAST Premier: Spring Final is scheduled to start next week and will take place between June 7-11. During these five days, the eight participants will compete in a series of epic matches. Everyone will play at least two series. In each group, three of the four teams will advance to the playoffs.

Group B looks very exciting and will constitute a great challenge for three of its four teams. In the case of Heroic, it’s probably safe to say that they won’t find it difficult to qualify for the playoffs and win the group. But for FaZe Clan, Astralis, and Complexity, surviving the group stage will require them to play their best CS.

Group B participants and predictions

In group B of BLAST Premier: Spring Final, a total of four matches will be played. The first two series are already known:

• Heroic vs. Complexity
• FaZe Clan vs. Astralis

The first match should be a quick 2-0 in favor of Heroic. But perhaps Complexity can surprise them. That’s not very likely to happen because Heroic have been a top three team in CS:GO for a long time, while Complexity are not even in the top 20.

The second match looks a lot more hyped and will likely require three maps to conclude. On paper, FaZe Clan, ranked 3^rd, are much stronger than Astralis, ranked 25^th. But it’s hard to tell what Nicolai “device” Reedtz and Benjamin “blameF” Bremer will do on the match day.

Usually, their performance is exceptionally good. With a bit of help from the other three members of Astralis, the Danes could produce an upset.

The only problem is that in recent weeks, FaZe Clan defeated a lot of top teams, including Natus Vincere, Team Liquid, Cloud9, and G2 Esports. Compared to these teams, Astralis are significantly weaker.

Overall, the group should have the following three winners:

• Heroic
• FaZe Clan
• Astralis

If these three teams qualify for the playoffs, nobody will be surprised. But if Complexity somehow manage to steal Astralis’ or even FaZe Clan’s spot, it will be something to talk about with your friends.

Assuming that everything goes according to the script, the most exciting match to watch in this group will be the one between Heroic and FaZe. The two teams will meet in the Winners Match. The last time they met each other, Heroic won 2-1. The match took place at the Paris Major.
