In today’s Roobet Cup semifinal match, BIG demolished Cloud9 2-0 to enter the Grand Final. After an incredible run, C9 fell to the formidable duo of Florian “syrsoN” Rische and Tizian “tiziaN” Feldbusch and exit the event with a top-four finish.

After an easy victory over C9, BIG advanced to the Roobet Cup finals. Although Sergey “Ax1le” Rykhtorov and Dmitriy “sh1ro” Sokolov put their best efforts to save C9 from the disaster, the rest of the team seemed ineffective against BIG’s unorthodox playstyle.

Cloud9 vs. BIG

BIG kicked off the series on Dust2 with utter chaos. In the first half of the game, they crushed Cloud9 in 14 straight rounds while dropping only one round to lead 14:1. Although C9 were able to silence the big shot syrsoN, they had no answers to tiziaN’s phenomenal play. However, with the help of sh1ron’s excellent play, they attempted a comeback, winning five straight games.

Despite C9’s strong performance in the second half, they could not come close to matching BIG’s gigantic lead. TiziaN’s overwhelming counterattacks overshadowed sh1ro’s heroic match-saving effort, as BIG won the first map by a score of 16:9. He finished with a KDA of 25/15/1, providing a decisive advantage to his team early on.

Similar to the first map, BIG quickly gained control of the Inferno with their offensive playstyle, winning five straight rounds. Despite winning rounds six and seven to stop the carnage, C9 were still up against BIG’s constant counterattacks. After a few rounds of back-and-forth combat, C9’s defenses started to collapse.

They only managed to secure two more rounds before syrsoN took over with his brilliant utility play, securing four consecutive rounds for BIG. The match entered the second half with BIG leading 10:5, leaving a little chance of a comeback for C9. However, sh1ro and Ax1le refused to give up and retaliated with a heavy counterattack. They only managed to win two more rounds before syrsoN seized control and won four straight rounds with his outstanding utility play.

With BIG leading 10:5 when the second half began, C9’s chances of pulling even were slim. Despite the odds, the team made an incredible comeback and went really close to equalizing the lead. C9’s effort at a comeback was, however, thwarted by tiziaN and syrsoN who hammered the final nails in the coffin. Together, they scored 52 kills, with individual KDAs of 22/17/6 and 30/12/3, respectively, to finish the map with a score of 16:12.

FaZe overcame Astralis

FaZe Clan defeated Astralis in the second semifinal match of the Roobet Cup, getting one step closer to the title and a $150,000 reward. Despite a strong start to the game, Astralis failed to seal the match with a victory.

Faze vs. Big

The Robeet Cup Gand Final, which is scheduled for tomorrow, July 30, will pit the North American CS:GO powerhouses against one another. BIG will go into the finals unbeaten, while FaZe have lost just one game.
