Aurora signed Russian player KENSI shortly after signing his former colleague Norwi. Both players come from forZe and are hoping for a fresh start at Aurora.

Russian pro player Aleksandr “KENSI” Gurkin has left his old team ForZe and was recently signed by Aurora. Before that, he was on the bench at ForZe for 2 months, but now he’s moving on to new adventures as he will rejoin former teammate Evgeny “Norwi” Ermolin, who was signed by Aurora on November 9.

ForZe say goodbye to KENSI

ForZe did not have much success this year and after failing to qualify for the IEM Rio Major in Brazil, the 21-year-old KENSI was benched by forZe along with Norwi in October. KENSI was involved in the organization for more than 1.5 years. For the most part, things went well for the player during his time at ForZe. Despite winning a handful of online competitions, he has not made it to major international appearances.

After his departure, KENSI revealed that the line-up had personal issues that they couldn’t get resolved. There were always arguments and conflicts that really escalated. And if a line-up doesn’t get along well internally, then it’s almost inevitable that they will have problems playing as well. That said, KENSI made it clear that there was no bad blood between him and the players on the team and that he was happy with every team member since he joined.

Fresh start at Aurora

Now the player has been signed, Aurora seems to be hoping that the addition of KENSI will lead to better results next year. The team had managed to knock Astralis out en route to qualifying for the IEM Road to Rio Europe RMR, but were ultimately unable to qualify for the Major in Brazil, exiting the RMR in the last place. Aurora benched their star player Aleksandr “KaiR0N-” Anashkin in response and are now forced to reshuffle their lineup.

With KENSI on board, Aurora’s Russian-Kazakh team now has the following line-up:

  • Evgeny “delus1onn” Plottsov
  • Evgeny “Norwi” Ermolin
  • Viktor “Lack1” Boldyrev
  • Aleksandr “KENSI” Gurkin
  • Aleksandr “KaiR0N-” Anashkin (Bank)
  • Sergei “Starix” Ischuk (Coach)

ForZe has the following players in the line-up:

  • Andrey “Jerry” Mekhryakov
  • Vladislav “Krad” Kravchenko
  • Aleksandr “shalfey” Marenov
  • Aleksandr “zorte” Zagodyrenko
  • Аrtem “Fierce” Ivanov (Coach)
