Among the long list of changes planned for League patch 13.5, Riot will finally nerf Aurelion Sol.

League of Legends has witnessed how many champions and items have been upgraded and weakened over the last month. In patch 13.4, the game’s latest update, more than twenty champions changed, and nine were nerfed. Among them are two of the most popular champions: Jax and Azir.

Riot Phroxzon, the head of the League team, recently announced the adjustments that will be coming to the servers in the upcoming patch 13.5.

Adjustments for patch 13.5

In the next update, fifteen League champions will undergo modifications, seven of which will receive nerfs.

Gangplank, AP Twitch, Rammus, Aurelion Sol, Caitlyn, Xayah and Yorick are on the list of planned changes. In addition to the adjustments to champions, Seraph Embrace will receive several nerfs.

Some of these adjustments are long overdue, especially in the case of Aurelion Sol. At least once, it has been briefly removed from the game due to issues since Aurelion Sol’s Season 13 revamp. In addition, the U.GG statistics website reports that the dragon’s ban rate has increased throughout League patch 13.4.

On the other hand, interestingly, Annie is not on the list of champions to be nerfed. She has been a monster on the Rift since patch 13.3, both in the individual queue and professional play. In addition, she has posted a staggering 54.21% win rate since receiving the recent league upgrades, making her a formidable opponent for many players.

The addition of Yorick to the list of top-lane nerfs is welcome. Still, it’s also excellent to see some nerfs in the bot lane, especially for Xayah and AP Twitch, who have respectable win percentages of 51.73% across all ranks and 51.77%, respectively.

These nerf should help balance the League’s seasonal meta and reduce problems.

Aurelion Sol, the most banned champion in LoL patch 13.4

As mentioned, Aurelion Sol is the most banned champion in LoL patch 13.4. We can say that the champion’s ban rate has not changed in the few days since the update was released for the game. According to the U.GG League stats site, he has reached a ban rate of 60% at Platinum+ levels and currently stands at 62.3%.

Once patch 13.3 introduced the Aurelion Sol change to the game, his ban rate increased rapidly. According to U.GG, he reached a staggering 59.8% ban rate in that update. And nothing has changed for him in the most recent patch.

Aurelion Sol tops the ban chart in most ranks except for Challenger, where Draven, 47.4%, and Elise, 44.3%, are the first and second most banned champions.

Although patch 13.4 introduced significant changes to the game, Aurelion Sol only experienced minor bug fixes. However, that does not imply that the victor has not accumulated a respectable winning percentage. For example, he has a 51.45% win rate in the middle lane at Platinum+ levels and a 52.31% win rate in the top lane.

Aurelion Sol’s high ban rate makes sense, as many players often ban new or modified champions to keep them out of their games.
