On February 15, 2023, the second season of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 was released and introduced Ashika Island, a new resurgence map. This small map, which is 15 times smaller than Al Mazrah, can host 52 players in resurgence mode and can only host 18 players in DMZ mode.

To promote the resurgence mode, Call of Duty has organized “Trials of Ashika,” an assassination racing competition where 16 teams of duos are pitted against each other.

In the three-day competition, divided into the group stage, group stage finals, and knockout rounds, players will compete for a prize pool of €50,000.

Warzone 2 Trials of Ashika tournament

Between February 28 and March 2, the Warzone 2 “Trials of Ashika” competition will occur. On the first day of the event, the group stage takes place; for this day, there are no cash prizes; on day two, the finals of the group stage, the teams fight this day for a prize pool of € 10,000. Finally, the playoffs are held on the third day, with a prize of € 40,000.

During the three days, fans can watch the Trials of Ashika matches on the official Call of Duty Twitch channel. In addition, all competitors will also live stream their games on their channels on various websites, including Twitch and YouTube.

On all three days, the tournament will start at 17:00 GMT and last until the conclusion of the last game of the day.

Tournament format

Two teams of two competitors will compete in a public respawn game of Warzone 2’s Ashika Island for the kill-race tournament in the same quad team. The duo that gets the most kills in three games will win.

A group will form for the group stage, and the team that loses will participate in a lower group until the playoffs.

Single-elimination matches will be held as playoffs on the last day of the competition. The team will be proclaimed the winner if it wins all its matches on the last day.
