The league recently announced that all matches in the ALGS Split 2 Playoffs will be played on the main stage this time, returning to London, UK. Before that, it was met with criticism as fans were disappointed that not all of their favorite teams could be seen on the Main Stage.
The Apex Legends Global Series was first caught in the crossfire in February during this year’s ALGS Split 1 Playoffs and was criticized by the community as many people felt the broadcast favored some teams and gave others significantly less attention. Many teams not featured on the Main Stage were neglected according to fans, leading to a lot of criticism.
All teams on Main Stage at ALGS Split 2 Playoffs
The organizers took this criticism to heart and decided to do better at the second attempt and this time give all teams time on the main stage. Because none of the teams should be in the shadow of a bigger or better-known one. A lot of people felt that TSM in particular got a lot of time and attention on the Main Stage and didn’t like it at all.
I genuinely understand that TSM gets a lot of coverage because they hold probably like 90% of the competitive apex fanbase… but comments like these just make me sad. 16 kills game 1 and people never even saw them 😓 pic.twitter.com/hV1NRnllDC

B Stream retained
Previously, some players were relegated to the parallel B-stream, hosted by two separate presenters, and didn’t get a chance to appear on the mainstream, even if they did well.
The B-Stream will not go away because the event has too many matches to host on one feed at once. Therefore, the B Stream will continue to exist, even if all teams are allowed on the Main Stage. Here in the tweet you can find all qualified teams.
Stay tuned because more information regarding the #ALGS Split 2 Playoffs is coming this week❗
Once again, Congratulations to all these incredible teams who are headed to London🎡

The teams that qualify for the event progress through a group and clutch stage before qualifying for the final day, where a host of matches will see the winner of the tournament determined. The top team gets nearly a third of the prize pool, $300,000 out of a total of $1 million in prize money for the tournament.
Starting July 13, fans will have the opportunity to see and cheer on all 40 participating teams on the Main Stage.
