Ho-ho-ho friends, welcome to our Top 10 Christmas special! Isn’t it crazy how fast time flies? It feels like the IEM Cologne was only yesterday and the League of Legends Worlds are not that long ago either. Nevertheless, we’ll soon have to say goodbye to 2022 and ring in the new one.

As usual with the icy temperatures and winter holidays in a full swing, the heroes of our favorite games got lots of festive outfits again! In our list, we show you the most beautiful and creative Christmas and winter skins in esports!

Merry Christmas and happy holidays!

10. Ugly Sweater Soldier (Overwatch)

What would Christmas be without an Ugly Sweater? Blizzard thought so, too, and conjured up a chic green sweater with a Christmas design for the father of Overwatch, Soldier: 76. With its red and green colors, the skin definitely creates a festive mood, and the barrel of his signature pulse rifle is also decorated with green wrapping paper. This outfit even belongs to the epic skins and is topped off with Soldier’s Cheers winner pose.

9. Winterblessed Warwick (LoL)

After three years, the Winterblessed skin series finally returns to League of Legends, giving Warwick two Christmas-themed skins at once. The first one gives him a new classy look, with purple fur, glowing eyes and shimmering blue claws. His Recall animation is also something to look at, but you might like the Prestige edition better. A highlight is the symbol he leaves behind when he activates his W to hunt his enemies. In the Prestige edition he wears a different festive suit, looks less wild and even like a real gentleman. This wolf could even be introduced to his parents.

8. Sleigh Ride (R6)

This weapon skin from R6S is available for all weapons before 2018. It is really a very traditional Christmas skin in red, gold and green tones. The grip and case are decorated with festive snowflakes that add nice accents, but aren’t too overbearing. It was first introduced on December 14, 2017 as part of the North Pole Bundle and is simply a classic. The skin is perfect for those who don’t want an intrusive design, but still want to add a bit of Christmas cheer!

7. Crystal Maiden (Dota 2)

The Heros of Dota probably don’t have much for Christmas, because you can hardly find a festive skin for the holidays. But there is a frosty, wintry skin for Crystal Maiden. The skin consists of blue and white tones and she also gets a little wolf to accompany her. She floats above the ground and leaves little snowflakes on her way. Her abilities get matching frosty visual effects and really make Crystal Maiden the Frosty Maiden!

6. Cryo Collection by Apel (CS:GO)

Even though there aren’t many festive or at least Christmas skins in CS:GO, the community is always quite busy and constantly creates new designs, some of which don’t make it into the game. This includes the beautiful Cryo series from the 2020 Autumn-Winter Collection by user Apel8. As they write in the post, they were inspired by Game of Thrones and World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, and the icy theme suits the weapons quite well. But honestly, would a C4 skin in the form of a Christmas gift really be a better skin? After all, it explodes anyway, so a weapon skin is more worth it.

5. Gibraltar Frozen Magma (Apex)

This skin is also more wintry than Christmassy, but still fits perfectly. The Frozen Magma skin of the apex legend Gibraltar combines a lot of colors and shades. The main color of the skin is white, but it is complemented by blue, orange and purple. Each of these colors is also found in Gibraltar’s suit. The shield has the bizarre shape of a dragon’s head, and bizarre is also the character’s mask, which completely covers her face and is topped with horns. It reminds of Japanese Oni masks, only with a frosty look.

4. Crackshot (Fortnite)

Crackshot is reminiscent of the legendary character Nutcracker, one of the main characters of Christmas. It was first added to Fortnite in Season 1, Chapter 1, as part of the Nutcracker skin set. Players can purchase it in the Item Shop for 2,000 V-Bucks when it becomes available. Immediately after its release, Crackshot became one of the most used characters in Battle Royale. He also comes in three additional styles: pink, gold and blue. He has a wooden head, painted facial features and wears the perfect clothes known from Nutcrackers.

3. Wrecking Ball (Overwatch)

Have you ever seen a hamster with a long white beard? Wrecking Ball, also known as Hammond, is actually a cute little hamster who causes chaos wherever he goes. This skin transforms him and his wrecking ball into a giant mobile snowman or snowball. His quad cannons are gift-wrapped with a bow and ready for the opposing team! Somehow he also reminds us of League of Legends champion Urgot, except Hammond still looks friendlier even though he has his guns pointed at us.

2. Winter Wonderland (VALORANT)

When it comes to skins, CS:GO could definitely take a leaf out of Valorant’s book. The Winter Wonderland skins are by far the most beautiful Christmas-themed weapon skins ever seen in shooters! The weapon features a snowy village, just like you’d see on grandma’s cookie jars. The skins from the bundle are reactive and change color at different times of the day. In daylight, the weapons appear in a fluorescent, ice-white hue, and in the dark, they appear much warmer with a yellow glow emanating from the houses of the hamlet. Really impressed with how detailed the Winter Wonderland Bundle skins are!

1. Winterblessed Diana (LoL)

In first place is another skin from League. Of all the designs in the Winterblessed skin series, the Diana skin is by far the prettiest. While she retains her signature features like the crescent moon sword, eye scars, and moon on her forehead, the new color palette and Aurora-like design give her a very fresh look that at the same time suits her so naturally. In the game, she also seems to transition to a purple base color, with really nice visual effects. Depending on how many enemies you hit with your Ulti, the look of the ability changes! A really fancy skin that is worth every dollar!
