The group stage of the ESL Pro League S17 has ended, and we had a lot of emotions until the last day of Group D. Team Liquid managed to survive in the tournament and got the last place available for the Playoffs by beating Astralis in the Lower Bracket final with a crushing 2-0.
On the other hand, forZe applied the same dose against ENCE, took first place in the group, and advanced directly to the quarterfinals of the ESL Pro League S17 Playoffs.

Team Liquid crushes Astralis to become the last qualifier for the EPL S17 playoffs
After walking on the edge for several matches, Team Liquid managed to take a blow on the table and score an excellent victory over Astralis to get the last ticket to the ESL Pro League S17 playoffs.
Astralis, who also had to escape death on several occasions in the Lower Bracket, arrived at this final after a spectacular match against Team Spirit, where they took an excellent 2-1 victory.
The Lower Bracket final match was between Nuke (Astralis) and Mirage (Team Liquid).
Nuke
Team Liquid started the first map with doubts and failed to perform well in the first half. Finally, however, the team managed to take a partial victory of 8-7, thanks to Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski, who finished with 104.3 ADR and a 1.52 Rating.
The second half was quite the opposite; Team Liquid managed to decipher each of the defenses that Astralis posed and won eight of the nine rounds to take the victory with a 16-8.

Mirage
In Mirage, the North Americans witnessed a remarkable comeback, as they started down 10-5, thanks to a solid Astralis defense. Benjamin “blameF” Bremer continues to prove that he is at a great level and was responsible for ending all the opportunities in Team Liquid’s offense.
In the second half, everything changed; Team Liquid woke up in such a way that they only allowed Astralis to win two rounds of the 13 disputed and thus managed to take an excellent victory 16-12. Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis was Astralis’ tormentor in Mirage, especially on the CT side, where he finished with an ADR of 124.2 and a Rating of 2.00.

forZe pulls off a surprise and finishes in first place in Group D
Although the team had surprised by reaching the grand final of the Upper Bracket, they confirmed their excellent level of play in this match against ENCE.
forZe crushed ENCE in two maps that were played at the pace the Russians wanted and also had Vladislav “Krad” Kravchenko at an impressive level, who finished with 90.7 ADR and a 1.36 Rating. These two values are much higher than any other player on the server.
The Grand Final was played on Overpass (forZe) and Anubis (ENCE).
Overpass
forZe was in charge of demonstrating why they picketed Overpass as the first map. Despite starting on the T-side, the Russians lectured on how to play Overpass at the highest competitive level. As a result, forZe took a 12-3 partial victory that, without a doubt, gave a tremendous blow to ENCE, who could not respond to the change of side and ended up being crushed 16-3.

Anubis
Things changed a bit in Anubis, but they had the same outcome and result, a victory for forZe. The Russians started the map very strong, winning the first half 10-5 with Krad again as the protagonist. However, ENCE tried to react to the change of side, but their efforts were not enough, and they only managed to win eight rounds to make up a final result of 16-13.
.@forzegg are going to the QUARTER FINALS!
They manage to convert @ENCE's map pick too in order to close out the series 2-0
