Riot Games release VALORANT Data Portal in partnership with GRID

Valorant developer Riot Games has partnered with data company Grid to launch the Valorant Data Portal (VDP), a one-of-kind tool that tracks the game’s in-game data.

Riot Games has launched Valorant Data Portal with the aim to enhance the esports experience for its title and promote sustainable development. The Valorant Data Portal will serve as the official source for all in-game Valorant data and give users access to detailed statistics from major esports competitions. 

The new gateway allows players to view data from various Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) games and private scrims, in a single place. Grid Esports, which has previously built data-driven infrastructure and platforms for several of its partners, including Krafton, PUBG Studios, PGL, and others, has created the one-of-a-kind platform.d benchmark for the esports industry.  

The new portal aims to take advantage of game data’s potential to develop cutting-edge experiences and encourage fan involvement to build a strong ecosystem for Valorant and a benchmark for esports as a whole. The VDP is anticipated to grow into a significant part of the ecosystem surrounding the VCT as it matures, assisting in maintaining the sport’s integrity

The new VDP will make talent scouting simple for teams.

The Valorant Development Program (VDP), which offers teams the option to enhance their performance and make better decisions based on data-driven insights, is a huge advancement for the Valorant esports ecosystem. GRID will soon make data assets available on the new Data Platform, including in-depth in-game statistics for players, teams, and matchups for the major international and local competitions, including Challengers, Masters, and Champions.

As a result of the new VDP, organizations will have a much easier time assessing the talent they have on their rosters to identify weak and strong members.  It also serves as a valuable tool to assess the skills of players on other teams for organizations scouting the league for individuals who could bolster their roster. Access to VDP is initially granted to the VCT teams to ensure that their requirements are met. Nonetheless, Riot has plans to eventually grant more teams and partners access to VDP. 

More features and functionality to be added soon

The Data Portal has been made available to professional teams for testing and input, but it is still under development. As the platform’s ultimate objective is to develop a comprehensive platform to assist the teams in improving their performance, more data is anticipated to be added along with more functionalities. Fans and professional players are quite thrilled about the possibility of a new age of Valorant esports with the introduction of the new portal and the new franchised league, which is currently going in full swing in São Paulo, Brazil.
