Puppey Eliminates KuroKy From Elite League

Unfortunately for Puppey and KuroKy, the Dota 2 gods determined that they should meet again in an elimination match of a huge tournament. And because of Nigma Galaxy’s poor form, Team Secret won the match.

This result was not hard to predict. KuroKy has been struggling for four years to stay near the top of Dota 2 and he just can’t win, no matter who is on his team. Right now, both Miracle- and SumaiL are playing for Nigma and the team continues to lose, not just internationally but locally as well.

In the MENA region, only PSG Quest is a major challenge for them. Team Falcons no longer compete in most qualifiers because they’re the strongest competitors in the world, so they get directly invited to events.

This should, in theory, leave Nigma in a great position. But because of their lack of form, they can’t even defeat one relatively weak rival.

Nigma Galaxy started the tournament with a victory against Aurora, which made everyone optimistic about their chances. But after that 2 – 1 success, they immediately went back to losing. The first team that defeated them was Talon Esports.

Nigma won game 1 in 32 minutes but were defeated in games 2 and 3 by a very determined Morphling player. Because they lost this match and also because Tundra Esports had lost their first match of the tournament against HEROIC, the two teams met each other.

This was an unfortunate encounter for KuroKy because Tundra have two of the world’s best players, Pure~ and Topson, and have since qualified for the next stage of the tournament with a record of 3 W – 1 L.

After losing 0 – 2 against Tundra, Nigma finally met Secret in a match that was fun to watch but probably painful to play. Game 1 lasted for 46 minutes. Thanks to Lifestealer, Leshrac, and Enchantress, Secret’s late game was stronger than Nigma’s, even though KuroKy gave Miracle- Faceless Void and SumaiL Lina.

This is a great combination of heroes because Lina’s attack range is huge, while her damage output is really high. This enables her to easily kill heroes during Void’s ultimate.

The only problem was that Secret played a 4-core strategy while Nigma had just 3 cores. This enabled them to win in the end.

Game 2 was very one-sided and ended after just 26 minutes.
