Zouheir “GetAmazed” Baba, the incoming 2023 head coach of Washington Justice, has been accused of seducing an aspiring Overwatch League player. The situation has been reported to the team, but they have yet to respond.

Team France in the Overwatch World Cup 2023 and Washington Justice of the OWL have Baba as head coach. However, before the season’s tournaments started, Baba was accused of sexual misconduct.

Sexual misconduct

On Feb. 27, “Kassian” described his alleged interactions with GetAmazed in a twit-longer, alleging that the coach sexually exploited him while pledging to support his aspirations for a professional career.

They reportedly first connected online in April 2022. At the time, Kassian was looking for a coach to help him decide whether or not to pursue a career in the OWL.

Kassian Publication

According to the publication, Kassian suffered the loss of a person he trusted due to his disability at the time of this interaction, in addition to recovering from acute agoraphobia. In addition, their financial situation was desperate, and they were on the verge of becoming homeless. So they were unsure if they should continue in the Overwatch competition.

GetAmazed apparently convinced Kassian to pursue his career goals after the two talked about his OWL activities on the trainer website Metafy.

The soon-to-be OWL coach reimbursed Kassian for the first mentoring session and offered to assist him with Overwatch whenever needed.

Kassian went on to describe in detail their subsequent connection. They indicated that it initially began as a purely friendly connection where Kassian would seek out the coach for guidance on Overwatch. Still, it gradually developed into a more intimate relationship.

Kassian claimed that GetAmazed gradually increased his level of affection while pressuring him to share photos of himself. This allegedly led to the two sharing explicit photos within a short period.

They claimed that GetAmazed stopped responding to queries on Overwatch and would only ask Kassian to provide images and videos they felt uncomfortable sending.

Kassian added in the twitlonger:

” I felt like he was using me for his own pleasure.”

On the other hand, Kassian revealed that GetAmazed would abruptly end all communication. The future athlete eventually went to Mélissa ” Søeny” Yang, manager of the Peps team, which GetAmazed was coaching then; and revealed her alleged history and exploitation.

In leaked screenshots of their private communications, Kassian would claim that Søeny went out of her way to refute the claims and even downplay Kassian’s background.

Washington Justice vice president of esports

Grant “Keiranthil” Paranjape, vice president of esports at Washington Justice, has since been informed of the problem. It can be seen in a message allegedly between Kassian and Keiranthil, who is asking him for updates. He then only advises contacting a consulting law firm for any inquiries. After that message, Kassian claims that no other responses were given.

So far GetAmazed and Washington Justice have not responded to the allegations.
