Esports organization Dignitas has announced the launch of a brand new VALORANT Champions Tour Game Changers event. The event will host the top female VALORANT teams, with a prize pool of $50,000 being up for grabs. We now know that qualifying matches for the main event will get underway on June 19, leaving competing teams a short period to get up to speed.

The main event will then begin on June 24, running in tandem with the VALORANT Champions Tour, Dignitas, Nerd Street Gamers and Galorants, the latter of which is a female community on Discord. The tournament will operate under the same format as the last Game Changers event, meaning that open qualifying will lead directly into a double-elimination competition.

How Can Fans Watch the Event?

Matches will be best-of-three up until the Grand Final, when a best-of-five encounter will take place. All ties will also be available to watch live on Dignitas’ Twitch channel. Carolyn “artStar” Noquez and Heather “sapphiRe” Garozzo are among the Dignitas content creators who will be streaming the event.

Open qualifiers will take place from June 19-20, with select matches being broadcast by Nerd Street Gamers. The top eight teams will then battle it out in the main event, which is to be held from June 24-27. A Game Changers pre-show will be broadcast each day at 11:30 AM EST.

Who Are the Favourites?

During the first Game Changers event, which was held back in March this year, Cloud9 was the standout team, despite being up against the likes of TSM Female, CLG Red and Dignitas themselves. Other competing teams were Moon Raccoons Black, Man I Love Fwogs, Gen.G and Watch This. Cloud9 qualified for the finals without losing one map, before easily getting the better of CLG Red.

Cloud9 White are unlikely to have things so easy this time around, with others having now had plenty of time to get to grips with their rosters. The Women in Leadership VALORANT Series, Game Changers Academy and Pittsburgh Sakura Cup are some of the tournaments that have taken place since the opening Game Changers event.
