Reports suggest that Fernando “fer” Alvarenga, Lincoln “fnx” Lau, and Epitacio “TACO” de Melo, the two-time Major-winning trio, are reuniting for the open qualifiers of the PGL Major Copenhagen. The team will be playing under Vito “kNgV-” Giuseppe’s organization, O PLANO, which recently disbanded its main CS roster.

The roster also includes Ricardo “boltz” Prass and kNgV-. Boltz, who is currently contracted to Imperial, put together the roster and asked to be moved to the bench in October as he sought new opportunities before the Copenhagen Major cycle.

O PLANO rebuilds the team ahead of the qualifier

TACO, who took a break from competition in February, announced in September that he was ready to return to activity. Fnx and fer have not played CS competitively in 2023. Last year, they were part of the Imperial lineup, dubbed ‘Last Dance’, that finished 9th-11th at PGL Major Antwerp. Fnx stepped down from the team in August, with fer following him out the door a few months later, after a 0-3 finish in the Challengers Stage of the IEM Rio Major.

The South American open qualifiers for the Americas RMR are scheduled for January 8-11, with the closed qualifiers taking place from January 19-21. It is currently unclear if the team will participate in any tournaments before the qualifiers begin.

Below is a table of the reported O PLANO roster:

  • Fernando “fer” Alvarenga
  • Lincoln “fnx” Lau
  • Epitacio “TACO” de Melo
  • Ricardo “boltz” Prass
  • Vito “kNgV-” Giuseppe

The reunion of fer, fnx, and TACO is highly anticipated among fans of the CS scene, and the team’s performance in the upcoming qualifiers will be closely watched.

With this high-caliber lineup, Brazil could see a promising CS:GO project aiming to qualify for the Copenhagen Major.
