One of the organizations that have made a very pleasant surprise this 2023 season, Monte Esports, announced the signing of Alexander “br0” Bro for the fall season and, above all, for the transition to CS:GO.

The Ukrainian organization signed the Danish rifler to replace one of its stars, Mohammad “BOROS” Malhas, who recently signed with Team Falcons. Moreover, it is worth noting that, even though br0 arrives from Astralis Talent, the Astralis Academy team, the player has some experience in the competitive scene, as he has been active since 2015.

Monte announce the signing of br0

Through an official statement on its Twitter account, Monte announced the signing of Alexander “br0” Bro ahead of the year’s second half and the transition to CS2. There is no doubt that this move fully consolidates the Ukrainian organization’s CS:GO lineup. However, filling the gap left by BOROS will be very complicated, but we all know how talented Danish riflers are.

As mentioned, br0 comes from playing for almost nine months for Astralis Talent, and, in that time, the 21-year-old Dane showed a very consistent performance. According to HLTV, br0 has a Rating of 1.09 on 234 maps played in this time. However, his performance in LAN tournaments is much higher, as he has a Rating of 1.15, according to HLTV. Br0 was one of Astralis Talent’s mainstays in their NPF Invitational and POWER Ligaen S23 victory.

Both Monte and br0 have a clear goal: to match or improve on the results achieved by the team in the first six months of the year. In addition, let’s remember that after incredible participation in the Paris Major, Monte climbed to the tenth position in the HLTV world ranking.

In the last CS:GO Major, Monte was led by veteran Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev and qualified for the Champions Stage after excellent victories over Fnatic, FURIA, and NaVi. However, they then lost to Team GamerLegion in the tournament’s quarterfinals.

Br0 debuts at IEM Cologne 2023

Like many of the signings in this player break, br0 will debut with Monte at IEM Cologne 2023, played at the end of July. The Ukrainian organization was invited to the tournament thanks to its position in the ESL World Rankings.

On the other hand, Astralis, as they have always been, show deep gratitude to br0 thanks for everything they have contributed in these almost nine months with the team. As a result, the popular Danish organization shared a Tweet where they publicly thanked br0 for everything done by their Academy team.

There is no doubt that this is just a small demonstration that Monte wants to continue to reap success this 2023 season. In addition to bringing in an aggressive rifler, Monte gains a lot of talent with the addition of br0, so expect to see a very solid and competitive team at IEM Cologne 2023.

Finally, the Monte Esports lineup heading into the second half of 2023 looks as follows:

  • Volodymyr “Woro2k” Veletniuk
  • Sergiy “DemQQ” Demchenko
  • Szymon “kRaSnaL” Mrozek
  • sdy
  • br0
  • Sergey “lmbt” Bezhanov – Head Coach
