Zenless Zone Zero Tier List: Top DPS, Supports & More

In Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) the strength of a character is not only about the damage numbers. How an agent works with others in a team, how easy they are to play and how much they need investment also matter a lot. Some characters are fine even without their signature W-Engines, while others only show full strength if you spend much resources on them or use them in very specific teams.

This list gives an overview of which characters perform better in the current game meta. It ranks them overall and also inside their roles: Attack, Anomaly, Stun, Support, and Defense.

S-Tier

Main DPS: Miyabi, Alice, Hugo, Yanagi, Ellen Joe, Evelyn, Yixuan
Sub-DPS: Vivian, Yanagi, Burnice
Support: Astra Yao, Lighter, Trigger, Yuzuha, Caesar, Pulchra, Nicole

These characters usually give the most value for teams. Miyabi and Alice are very high damage and still flexible, Astra Yao and Nicole bring buffs or debuffs that help in many situations. Vivian and Burnice deal damage even when not on field, so they stay useful.

A-Tier

Main DPS: Jane Doe, Zhu Yuan, Piper, Soldier 0 Anby, Harumasa, Pan Yinhu, Seth
Sub-DPS: Piper, Grace
Support: Ju Fufu, Lycaon, Soukaku, Lucy, Rina

Here the agents can be strong but they are not always easy to use. Lycaon is good especially in Ice team but otherwise rotation too slow. Soukaku needs right members for full value, while Grace applies Shock but damage fall off if skill not ready.

B-Tier

Main DPS: Soldier 11, Billy, Nekomata, Corin, Anton
Sub-DPS: Qingyi
Support: Ben, Koleda, Anby, Qingyi

B tier characters not so strong compared to others. Ben and Koleda are slower, not fit for endgame speed requirements. Others like Qingyi or Corin need too much field time but not reward enough.

Attack (Primary DPS)

Attack agents are main damage source and work with most buffs and debuffs.

S-Tier: Hugo, Evelyn, Ellen Joe – High damage and very steady.
A-Tier: Zhu Yuan, Harumasa, Soldier 0 Anby – Reliable but not same flexibility.
B-Tier: Anton, Soldier 11, Nekomata, Corin, Billy – Struggle in scaling and team use.

Anomaly

Anomaly units focus on apply element effects and creating reactions. They often need right team but give high damage if managed.

S-Tier: Miyabi, Alice, Burnice, Vivian – Consistent at apply anomaly and strong burst.
A-Tier: Yanagi, Piper, Jane Doe – Powerful but need long on-field time or setup.
B-Tier: Grace – Helps with shock but too slow when skill is down.

Stun

Stun characters help control enemies and add some damage role.

S-Tier: Lighter, Trigger, Pulchra – All bring solid damage with utility.
A-Tier: Ju Fufu, Lycaon – Lycaon better if in Ice comp, else slower.
B-Tier: Koleda, Qingyi – Weak in speed and consistent output.

Support

Support are usually strong since they make whole team better.

S-Tier: Astra Yao, Yuzuha, Nicole – Good buffs or defense shred for any team.
A-Tier: Lucy, Soukaku, Rina – Work fine but more situational. Soukaku better in Ice comps, Rina is slow but give passive buff.
B-Tier: None yet

Defense

Defense is the weakest group at moment, most too slow for endgame content.

S-Tier: Caesar – Useful because he brings daze and buff beside defense.
A-Tier: Seth, Pan Yinhu – Have niche roles but still slow.
B-Tier: Ben – Big heart but just too slow to matter much.

Conclusion

Right now the strongest overall are Miyabi, Alice, Hugo, Vivian, and Astra Yao. They can perform well even without premium gear, so they are safe choice for most players. Some characters like Lycaon or Caesar are very good in right team setups, but not as universal.

Defense roles are behind compared to others, only Caesar really standing out. Future updates may change balance and bring new options, but this list shows which agents are best to build teams in Zenless Zone Zero at present.
