Zenless Zone Zero 2.5 Banners Order & Schedule Guide

Version 2.5, titled “To Be Fuel for the Night,” is a large update in the seasonal content of Zenless Zone Zero. It will officially be released on December 30, 2025, and HoYoverse has announced that the game will have a special banner rotation that will not be like the previous ones. It will have the main character banners simultaneously and have a rerun banner included in the middle phase.

Release & Patch Structure

This update goes live on 30th Dec 2025, and the maintenance will be over around 11:00 (UTC+8), as in the past patch releases.

Unlike previous patches, in which they change banners in phases, the key exclusive banner events in Version 2.5 keep their banners open for most of the update. The update will be in two segments. Phase 1 to the start of January, followed by Phase 2 on January 21, 2026, but the key character banners are now guaranteed to be available in both segments.

Debut Banners

On December 30, 2025, two S-Rank agents appear at the same time:

Ye Shunguang: in the Light Upon Fingertips banner.
Zhao: in the Priceless Heart banner.

Both of these banners will remain up through most of Version 2.5, and they do not rotate out as Phase 2 starts.

Phase 2: Exclusive Rescreening Rerun Banner

Starting January 21, 2026, Version 2.5 adds a special rerun banner separate from the main debut banners.

Rerun S-Rank Agents

This rerun banner, called Exclusive Rescreening, features three previously released S-Rank units:

Unique Mechanics

The banner “Exclusive Rescreening” has the following rule regarding pity gacha:

The first time you receive an S-Ranked agent from this banner gacha, you will choose the agent you want to pick yourself. This gives you greater freedom when selecting your first rerun prize gacha reward that you want to receive.

W-Engine Banner Schedule

Version 2.5 also has W-Engine banners that follow the same confirmed schedule:

Main W-Engine Channels

During the launch of a patch, the W-Engine banners for the new characters will display at the same time as the agent banners. These are:

Cloudcleave Radiance (Ye Shunguang’s signature W-Engine)
Half-Sugar Bunny (Zhao’s signature W-Engine)

In addition, featured A-Rank W-Engines are connected with A-Rank agents on the banners.

W-Engine Reverberation Reruns

In Phase 2 (January 21 onward), rerun W-Engines show up on the W-Engine Reverberation banner. The ones confirmed are:

Key Distinctions in Version 2.5 Banners

Version 2.5’s confirmed banner layout is different from earlier versions:

Concurrent S-Rank Banners: There are two concurrent S-Rank banners, which are active for almost the entire duration of the patch.
Separate Rerun System: A rerun banner is activated in phase 2, independent of the initial banners.
Extended Availability: The two main S-Rank banners of Phase 1 will not be replaced by Phase 2 when the phases switch.

This allows players to have the flexibility to plan the usage of Polychrome and banner pulls in the entire version.

Conclusion

Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.5 has a very different strategic banner rotation, as the initial banners remain accessible in the majority of the patch and introduce a dedicated rerun channel in the second part of the patch. The availability of both the banners of characters Ye Shunguang and Zhao, as well as the rerun system of the S-Ranks released in the past three versions, gives the players a chance to have their pull plans confirmed in the patch. It is one of the most flexible banner formations in the ZZZ season update cycle.
