Zenless Zone Zero 2.3 Preload Guide & File Sizes

The “Memories of Dreams Bygone” update for Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) Version 2.3 is packed with new content for the action RPG. HoYoverse has added a preload feature for all platforms to enable players to enjoy the content as soon as possible. Players can download the necessary game files ahead of time, so they will not have to wait as long for the last bit of installation to be completed, and they can get to the new characters, story quests, and events.

The update is set to launch on October 15, 2025. 

Note: Final sizes may vary depending on language packs and additional voice-over expansions.

How to Preload Zenless Zone Zero 2.3

PC (using HoYoPlay Launcher) 

• To download the game on PC, launch the HoYoPlay launcher and select Zenless Zone Zero from your library. 
• Click the Pre-Install button next to Start. 
• A pop-up window will appear showing you the storage requirements. From this pop-up window, just click Download! 
• You can continue to play the game while preloading. 

Android & iOS 

• Launch Zenless Zone Zero and navigate to the login screen. 
• Tap the Pre-Download Resource icon, located at the bottom right. 
• Make sure to check the storage requirements and tap Confirm to start the download. Note that you will not be able to play the game during preloading on mobile. 

PlayStation & Xbox 

• PlayStation: Launch the game, the preload will begin automatically provided you have enough space available. 
• Xbox: Launch Zenless Zone Zero or go to the game update screen to begin the preload. 

Server Maintenance, Compensation, and What’s New in Version 2.3

Zenless Zone Zero will be undergoing server maintenance start time is 8:30 AM IST with estimated down time of five hours. Compensation will be provided to players during server maintenance, players will receive 60 Polychromes for each one hour of down, with a minimum compensation of 300 Polychromes. 

• New Characters: Lucia, Yidhari, and Komano Manato
• Story Quest: Season 2 Chapter 4 – “Memories of Dreams Bygone”
• New Skins: Free skins for Vivian and Manato
• New W-Engines: Dreamlit Hearth and Kraken’s Cradle
• Events: “When Dreams Remain Unfinished” patch event

The patch event is titled “When Dreams Remain Unfinished” event.

Use a stable Wi-Fi connection to avoid interruptions.Ensure extra storage space beyond the stated requirements. Additional language packs or voice-over expansions may increase installation size.
