Wuthering Waves 2.8 First-Phase Banner & Chisa Reveal

Wuthering Waves is adding a new Resonator in its upcoming Version 2.8 update: Chisa. She’s one of the big new names and there’s quite a lot we already know for sure. As the update and her banner approach, it’s good for both players and writers to have a clear, confirmed breakdown of exactly what Chisa brings, when she’s coming and how she might fit into teams.

Chisa is officially described as a serene yet analytical student from Startorch Academy.

She wields a Broadblade in the form of a giant scissor.

Kuro Games states that she can cut with her scissors along geometrical angles to “pinpoint weaknesses in enemies.”

Additionally, at certain point, she’d be able to alter it into a chainsaw form in order to perform high-damage finishing moves.

Although Chisa’s complete kit (numbers, exact values) is not fully revealed yet, the design and lore will suggest that she engages in precision, structural analysis, and will likely even exploit weak points, or “threads,” on enemies.

Chisa is forming up to be an interesting addition in Version 2.8 of Wuthering Waves. With her 5-star rarity, Havoc element, Broadblade weapon, and confirmed appearance on 20 November 2025 (first-phase banner), players have concrete information to plan.
