Wuthering Waves 2.6 Update: All New Characters, Rerun Banners, Events, and Release Schedule

Wuthering Waves Version 2.6 will arrive on August 28, 2025, and it comes with a packed line-up of new resonators, rerun banners and also a bunch of system updates. The update brings in Augusta and Iuno as debut characters, while at the same time older favorites are making returns through banners.

There are also new quests and exploration content to keep players engaged in progression. Since the banner schedule is already confirmed, players now have a much clearer way to plan their pulls ahead.

The update is divided in two phases, with each one featuring different resonators and their weapon banners.

Phase 1 (August 28, 2025)

This schedule gives reasons to pull across both halves of the patch. Phase 1 has the new Electro resonator together with two reruns, while Phase 2 brings Iuno’s first appearance alongside another well-rounded banner.

New Content and Features

Outside of banners, Version 2.6 also expands the world with the new Sanguis Plateaus region and two quests: “By Sun’s Burning Hand” for Phase 1 and “By Moon’s Revelation” for Phase 2. A set of fresh Echoes are added like Corrosaurus, Lady of the Sea, and False Sovereign, with new Sonata Effects called Crown of Valor and Laws of Harmony.

The patch improves gameplay flow by adding Record Sync, wider Lootmapper range, one-click claim options, a gallery for weapons, and better graphical optimizations such as FSR3 and XeSS2. Tower of Adversity updates and flight map adjustments come in as well, while events like Tidal Defense Simulator create new challenges with rewards.

Livestream Codes and Preview

The preview livestream on August 16, 2025, showed all of the upcoming banners and content, and it also gave three redeem codes to use: BURNINGSUN, MOONLIGHT, and FACETHEFATE. These provide useful resources for players who are preparing for the start of the patch.

Wuthering Waves 2.6 is offering both new resonators and plenty of extras to keep players active. With Augusta and Iuno debuting, older favorites rerunning, and systems that add smoother progression, this version is set up to deliver immediate excitement while giving longer-term improvements too.
