There’s been a bunch of leaks going around lately about the upcoming 2.5 update in Wuthering Waves. These isn’t officially confirmed yet by Kuro Games, but several known leakers like “Ranny” has shared interesting info that’s getting a lot of players talking. Let’s take a look at what could be coming soon.
First Phase: Phrolova Might Be the Big New Star

According to what’s being shared, Phase 1 of version 2.5 will most likely feature a new 5-star resonator named Phrolova. She’s a Havoc element user with a Rectifier, and even though she’s already showed up in the story, this would be the first time people could actually play her.
She’s expected to arrive alongside Roccia, another 5-star that also uses Havoc and fights with Gauntlets. He could be more close-range and brawler-like, but that’s not fully clear yet.
Some 4-star characters that might show up too includes:
- Lumi (Electro, Broadblade)
- Taoqi (Havoc, Broadblade)
- Yuanwu (Electro, Gauntlet)
Phase 2: Cantarella Is Back?

Moving to Phase 2, leaks says it’ll feature a rerun of Cantarella, who’s a support-style 5-star. She also uses Havoc and a Rectifier, and she’s pretty popular cause she can heal and give buffs, especially with Havoc teams.
She might come together with Brant, who’s another 5-star character (Fusion element, Sword) that hasn’t showed up in banners for a while. Their combo could make a strong and balanced pair for teams needing damage and support.
Rumored 4-stars for this phase are:
- Danjin (Havoc, Sword)
- Mortefi (Fusion, Pistols)
- Yangyang (Aero, Sword)
What the Community Thinks

Lots of players on Reddit and Discord thinks there’s probably only gonna be one new 5-star this update—Phrolova. That might be because the devs are trying to slow down how fast new units come out and give players a chance to grab older ones.
And with both Cantarella and Phrolova using Havoc, this patch might push people to try Havoc-heavy teams more than before.
Final Note
Of course, nothing’s 100% confirmed right now. These info could still change if Kuro Games decide to announce something different in their livestream or patch reveal. But if these leaks are right, version 2.5 is shaping up to be a strong mix of new and old, and pretty exciting for most players.
