Release Date and Early Access Details

World of Warcraft: Midnight, the second part of the Worldsoul Saga, will be available on March 2, 2026, at 3 PM PST. Notably, players with the Epic Edition before then will get three days of early access starting on February 27.

With that, they will be able to see the new storyline early and level up to 80. Players will also have access to the new and improved Blood Elf lands before anyone else! However, the endgame raids and competitive modes will still be locked during this early access period.

Housing Early Access

December 2, 2025 at 3 PM PST is the date that we’ll see Housing Early Access available for everyone who bought a Midnight Edition. Players will now have the ability to unlock their new Housing features by claiming their Neighborhoods, using their initial items, and gaining access to all decorative items and furniture from Azeroth’s quests.

The Epic Edition includes all of the above and adds even more. This includes beta access, 30 days of free game time, special mounts (the Voidlight Surger and Voidwing Dragonhawk), pets (Doomfeathers and Hopeflutter), and 2,000 Trader’s Tender.

The Heroic and Base Editions offer scaled rewards like Dragon Spirit Hunter mount and multiple level increases.

Storyline Focus and Setting

World of Warcraft: Midnight follows the developing feud between the Light and Void, and once again, players come into play in the remaking of the beautiful elf land of Quel’Thalas. Players must defend the Sunwell, a sacred water source of magical energy located on the Isle of Quel’Danas, that is being invaded by the void threat of Xal’atath.

This is chapter two of the World Soul Saga, where elves unite after being separated into different factions to fight against evil by collaborating with any means necessary. Their battle will be led by well-known characters such as Lor’themar Theron, Wrathion, Khadgar, and Alexstrasza.

Expansion Features and Highlights

Player Housing and Gameplay Enhancements

World of Warcraft: Midnight is filled with new features and improvements, including one of the most requested features: player housing. Players can now create and customize their own homes with items collected from all the different things they do in-game, like achievements, crafting, and so on.

They’re also adding a new specialization, the ‘Devourer’, which will be based around Void attacks and soul harvesting from a mid-range perspective. Additionally, there will be many changes made to the Rogue class, adding 10 new talent points, updated talent trees, and abilities available for all classes.

New Zones and Races

The expansion also adds four big new zones: Eversong Woods, Zul’Aman, Harandar, and the crazy Voidstorm. There’s also the Haranir Allied Race, a neutral species that lives in tree roots, playable on both Horde and Alliance.

PvP and Endgame Content

Midnight has released new PvP modes like the Training Grounds, where players can practice against NPCs. And then there’s Slayer’s Rise, a PvP battleground based on Alterac Valley.

There are also 3 new raids: The Dreamrift, The Voidspire, and The March on Quel’Danas. Each has its own bosses and storylines presented through cinematic storytelling.

In addition, there are eight new dungeons, several new delves, and a completely redesigned Silvermoon City.
