Wolverine’s “Street-Verse” Techwear Redesign Could Be His Best Marvel Rivals Skin Yet

Wolverine’s newest costume redesign might just be the strongest addition for his Marvel Rivals lineup yet. First showing up in a variant cover by artist InHyuk Lee for The Last Wolverine #2, this “Street-Verse” look takes his well-known yellow-and-black color scheme and turns it into a modern techwear outfit. The design keeps his signature cowl in place, while adding layered streetwear pieces, a tailored jacket, shirt, pants, and sneakers. There’s orange-brown accents across the outfit which gives more depth to the familiar palette, making it feel new while still looking like the X-Men hero fans know.

The “Street-Verse” series reimagines a number of Marvel heroes and villains with stylish but functional clothing that’s inspired by their older costumes. For Wolverine, the change feels very natural. The layered, sharp styling fits his rough personality, while also looking practical for action scenes. The way the jacket’s fabric and details are drawn in Lee’s artwork makes it appear like something that’s both comfortable and tough enough for battle.

Perfect Alignment with Marvel Rivals’ Visual Style

Marvel Rivals already uses streetwear influences for many of its hero designs, and Wolverine’s default skin is one of them with its yellow jacket and blue highlights. Lee’s redesign builds on that style, adding richer textures and a stronger color mix that could easily work as a high-end skin in the game. On the cover, Wolverine’s jacket is shown draped off his shoulders to show his muscular build, but even then the full look still feels ready for combat, fitting for both in-game idle poses and fast-paced action.

Expanding the X-Men’s Modern Wardrobe

Wolverine’s updated outfit is part of the bigger “Street-Verse” series, which also gives new looks to Magik, Storm, and Psylocke. Each one keeps the main visual traits fans recognize, while shifting them into a more modern, techwear-inspired look. Marvel Rivals has already brought in high-fashion styles like the Hellfire Gala skins before, so there’s a solid reason why Lee’s designs could be added next.

Right now, the “Street-Verse” costumes are only seen in cover art, but their mix of modern practicality and strong visual appeal would make them great in-game. Wolverine’s redesign especially blends his wild edge with an urban feel, making it a skin that could stand out from his many other appearances. In Marvel Rivals, where style plays a big part of a hero’s identity, this one looks ready to be his most memorable yet.
