The Palace of Supreme Oneness in Where Winds Meet is one of the outpost challenges that require you to use a combination of stealth, combat, and few small puzzles. You are given two different ways in this part to interrupt the ritual of the Xuanyuan Cult and get the pendant that they are guarding by you. Either you can go silent or straight in. The manual here is a rundown of both paths in the order of their appearance.
Where Winds Meet: Palace of Supreme Oneness Guide: Location & How to Start
The Supreme One’s Palace is situated in the northwest of Kaifeng City. Inside the compound, move to the building that is on the left side or climb the corner watchtower by wall jumps, grapples, or the elevated platforms.

Mu Hao is the NPC you need for the stealth route and you find him at the watchtower place. After the descent, you will see Yu Changfeng of the Xuanyuan Cult. Talking to him, a dialogue with him discloses two options:
- Barge in directly (combat)
- Sneak in to cause chaos (stealth + disguise)
Your target stays the same: stop the ceremony and take the pendant inside the underground palace.

METHOD 1: Direct Confrontation (Combat Route)
If disguising steps bore you, just hit “Barge in directly.”
What happens?
The cult teleports you to their underground room right in the middle of the enemy.
What do you have to do?
- Combat 14 foes.
- There will be times when several attackers will come at you simultaneously. Make full use of your control, movement, or defense skills.
- After the room is free of enemies, get the pendant and the rewards.
Why Choose a Fight?
- If your stats are good, then it will be fast.
- No need for a disguise skill and no portrait required.
- Great if you just want a pure battle.
METHOD 2: Stealth / Disguise Route (Non-Violent Method)
This path keeps combat away and involves disguising.
Step 1 — Take a Picture of Mu Hao’s Face
Head upstairs over Yu Changfeng and locate Mu Hao. Get close enough for the mask icon to appear and then take his portrait.
Hint: His straw hat may hide his face. Change your angle and try again until the Portrait Completed message pops up.
Step 2 — Unlock & Use Disguise
Requirements:
- Disguise skill from “Disguise: Veil of Love” quest
- Level 2 Disguise proficiency
- At the Fairgrounds in the southeast of Kaifeng City, find Zhuang Wuyan. Choose “Put on a disguise.” option. Pick up Mu Hao’s portrait.
While disguised, go back to Yu Changfeng and select “Sneak in to cause chaos.”
Step 3 — Attend the Ceremony

- This time after you are teleported underground, the cult recognizes you as one of their members.
- Talk with the Unbound Sect leader. Look at the pendant being put on the altar.
Step 4 — Take the Pendant (No Fighting)
- Head to the altar and grab the pendant.
- Interrupting the ceremony, a cutscene plays, showing cult members fleeing as the ritual falls apart.
- This completes the outpost with no fighting.

Now, Disguise is what you should pick if you desire a silent run, have low power, or simply like the infiltration method. On the other hand, use combat if you are looking for a fight, do not have disguise skills, or want to skip the story.
The Palace of Supreme Oneness puzzle isn’t a riddle. It’s just a decision of whether to go stealth or fighting. Both ways are viable, however, the disguise path allows one to intervene in the cult ceremony in a more tranquil manner.
