Fortnite developers are always looking to keep things interesting, and this time, they have introduced The Guardian Shield.
This new shield introduced in Fortnite Season 1, Chapter 4 looks similar to the Oath Guardian armor. Plus, the level 100 battle pass aspect allows players to block many attacks.
How to find the Guardian Shield in Fortnite?
You will have to look for the special chests to get the Guard Shield, specifically in the white and golden Oathbound chests that can be found in the most fortified locations, such as the Citadel and Anvil Square. But where you can find them the most is in the central-northwest area of the island.
To get the chests, you must land in places like Plaza del Yunque and make your way to the northwest. In this area, you can find some of the lesser-known Oathbound chests.
However, there is no guarantee that you will find the shield immediately because of other loot. You should take your time and search through several Oathbound chests. After all, obtained special weapons might improve your gameplay.
Where to find the Guardian Shield in Fortnite?
Guardian’s Shields are mostly found inside the Oath chests, however, it is also possible to get very lucky and get it by opening a normal chest.
These chests are located in the medieval areas of the map.
Note that only one chest per location is marked on the map, but there may be more than one.
How to use the Guardian Shield in Fortnite?
The Guardian Shield is an item that allows players to deploy a protective barrier in order to block damage. In other words, it serves to block enemy shots. Note that this barrier does not last forever.
The barrier changes color as it blocks damage, indicating its battery is running low. Over time the battery will automatically recharge.
Modes of use
The Guardian Shield has two different modes of use:
- Mobile: If you equip it, you can block enemy shots as we move.
- Static: If you throw the Guardian Shield to the ground, it becomes a longer static defense. It can be picked up to redeploy or used in mobile mode.
