How to Unlock and Start the Egg Hunt

Players must meet two basic progression requirements: reaching Developer’s Guild Member Level 7 and completing the initial main story quests before accessing the Onsen Egg Promise Treasure Hunt. Once these prerequisites are satisfied, travel to the snow festival area next to Onsen Mountain Lake on the northern part of the map.

Upon arriving, you can speak with the mayor Atara. So you can receive the Various Topics quest, which requires talking with several characters in the event area and exhausting their dialogue about the Winter Frost Season. After completing these conversations, seek out Naughty on the path leading toward Onsen Mountain Lake.

Naughty provides access to the Onsen Egg Promise, unlocking your ability to track egg locations through the dedicated event menu. Progress is tracked in the fashion activity section of the event screen. It will show you which eggs have been found.

How to Photograph Eggs and Earn Rewards

Claiming each egg’s rewards requires using Heartopia’s camera feature rather than simple collection. When you locate an egg, equip your camera and take a photo of it. Once photographed successfully, the 5 Wishing Stars and 300 Fashionwave Tokens are automatically added to your account.

One new egg appears every day throughout the event, making consistent daily check-ins important for players wanting to collect all 16. All eggs are located within the Winter Utopia event area on the northern beach portion of Onsen Mountain, keeping the search concentrated in a single accessible zone rather than spread across Heartopia’s full map.

Final Reward and Onsen Egg Cooking

Collect all 16 eggs to unlock the onsen egg cooking recipe, then manually claim it from the Onsen Egg Promise Treasure Hunt page in the event menu. Cooking onsen eggs requires pasteurized eggs purchased from Massimo. They use the basket cookers submerged in the hot spring pools around Onsen Mountain to cook it.

Several baskets are conveniently located in the pools directly surrounding the Onsen Mountain bus stop. It makes the cooking process accessible to players who’ve just arrived at the event area.
