If you’re getting into the fun game of Donkey Kong Bananza, there are some pretty sweet collectibles that you should try finding: Music Discs. They aren’t basic in-game collectibles, because they unlock the awesome music tracks from the game. With that, yo you can listen to them during your exploration. However, you should know that it won’t be easy to collect all 110 Music Discs. You’re going to have to keep a little strategy in mind, use a little luck, and probably have a way to keep track of them.

Music Discs are one of the top collectibles in Donkey Kong Bananza. Therefore, players would want to collect them all to enjoy the game’s colorful and eclectic soundtrack at their leisure. There are a total of 110 music discs, which all correspond to the tracks found on the soundtrack. Notably, the list goes on, from battle themes, area music, and special event scores.

Primary Method: Enemy Drops

Players can obtain Music Discs primarily through enemy drops in Donkey Kong Bananza. Whenever players defeat an enemy throughout the game, there’s a chance of that enemy dropping a random music disc. As mentioned, there are exactly 110 random music discs throughout the game. But the chances of them dropping in the normal play are pretty low.

Players can definitely up their odds by equipping Pauline’s Diva Dress. Particularly, this is an outfit that doubles the chance that enemies will drop music discs! You can get this outfit by using the Donkey Kong and Pauline amiibo or by completing the five Elder Rehearsals from that point after you’ve completed the main game. With the Diva Dress equipped, farming music discs is much quicker and easier, especially for battle-heavy maps!

The quickest and best place to farm these enemy drops is the Bunch of Battles challenge in Ingot Isle. You can unlock after paying Grumpy Kong. This stage has you mostly defeating small enemies in quick successions, which leads to a lot of music discs dropping. Players can easily farm this level with the Diva Dress and quickly build up a ridiculous amount of Music Discs. As a bonus, everything that is dropped after each round gets auto- collected to the player’s inventory. Thus, there isn’t an annoying process of needing to collect it all!

Secondary Method: Tip Rewards from Trustystone

In Donkey Kong Bananza, there’s a second fantastic, but random way to obtain music discs by tipping Trustystone NPCs at your Getaway locations. Beginning with the Canyon Layer, players will find Trustystone, a concierge-like character, everywhere! Trustystone provides access to local shops and other services for players. When you ask Trustystone for services, they sometimes ask for a tip, which usually amounts to around 10 gold. If you do decide to tip them, you get a random music disc!

This is just a super cool way of getting music discs, and they’re entirely random. You won’t find a disc in one of these spots every time, nor will it drop from a specific enemy. Also, you might even find a super rare track or one you’ve never heard of. For example, a track from DK Artist mode if you haven’t even unlocked it yet.

Plus, using this backup method builds up your entire disc collection without having to grind through a lot of enemies. The discs you receive when you tip a Trustystone don’t have a set pattern and can show up in any layer and in any area. However, it’s still a fun and consistent way to grow a new music library.
