Riot Games has launched Shotcall, a Twitch extension that enables fans to predict live match outcomes in VALORANT when viewing VCT matches. It gamifies the watching experience, allowing fans to rise to the top of the leaderboard and earn some rewards when they make accurate guesses. However, currently, it is only available on desktop Twitch and for a short while, for the time being.
What Is Shotcall?

Shotcall is a Twitch extension proprietary only to desktops that Riot Games came up with the aim of enhancing more fun for VALORANT esports viewers. The idea is simple that in-game, during the live matches, you will be asked questions in real-time, like who is going to clutch the round or will someone clutch, and you can type in your answers.
How to Use Shotcall on Twitch
1. Watch on a Beta Friday
Shotcall is now in beta under the Shotcall Fridays name and can only be found on the VCT Americas Twitch streams. It’s available only on these dates:
- August 8, 2025
- August 15, 2025
- August 22, 2025
- August 29, 2025
2. Allow the Extension
As the stream plays, you must hold your mouse until a red crystal ball icon shows up at the top-left corner of the screen. Click on it and then log in with your Riot ID to enable Shotcall. If the icon does not appear, head to Twitch’s extension panel and ensure that Shotcall has been set as “visible.”
3. Begin Predicting
When everything is enabled, Shotcall will ask questions during the match. You can forecast things such as pistol round win, clutch attempts, or who is gonna take the round.
4. Rewards and Feedback
During the beta, you get to win only one reward regardless of how many days you’ve played on any of those 4 test Fridays. Riot is also seeking input through Twitch chat and surveys. They want individuals to assist in refining the feature.
