Call of Duty Vanguard allows players to put incredibly strong perks on their weapons. But after a streamer found out that through a glitch, you can also use these perks in Call of Duty Warzone, Raven software had to react quickly.

The Warzone meta underwent a major change when the Vanguard weapons were added to the Battle Royale at the end of December. The Vanguard weapons can be equipped with as many as ten different attachments, including some very powerful perks that make players much stronger.

These perks are not normally supposed to be available on Warzone and Modern Warfare weapons, but a streamer named Yeet discovered a game-breaking glitch that allowed players to put these perks on any weapon. Raven Software has let it be known that they are aware of the glitch, and confirmed they are working on a fix.

Videos of the Warzone glitch

Warzone streamer Yeet let it be known on February 28 via twitter that this glitch was in the game, and several videos quickly surfaced about how the glitch worked. The popular Youtuber JGOD released a video in which he showed that after you put five attachments on your weapon, you can add a Vanguard perk to it. He also shows that through these perks you can create weapons that have no recoil at all.

This groundbreaking glitch makes weapons much more effective than intended, and in some cases removes recoil entirely. And so Raven Software confirmed, just hours after the news broke, that they are working on a fix.

On February 28, Raven Software posted a tweet, that “we are investigating an issue that allows Perks for attachments to be inadvertently transferred between weapons.” They also linked a Trello map marked as “Investigated on all platforms.
