Visions of the Fallen: New Darkin Skins Coming to League of Legends

fragster Ahsan Kabir 13. August 2025

Drawing inspiration from the Darkin lore, Riot Games is bringing a new set of skins known as Visions of the Fallen. This release, coming in Patch 25.17 on August 27, 2025, is providing some champions with a highly corrupted and creepy look, which fits within the narrative of Darkin weapons and taking over the people who wield them.

Included Champions and Pricing

Tryndamere’s appearance here makes him something akin to a ghostly, damned warrior with power derived from the Darkin energy. The skin will have a price of 1,350 RP, and it’s below the Epic tier.

Garen – Visions of the Fallen

Garen, normally a large icon of Demacian honor, in this one is already fallen and tainted. His armor and abilities all became darker to fit the concept. Price remains 1,350 RP, Epic level.

Jarvan IV – Prestige Visions of the Fallen

The Prestige skin on Jarvan IV has golden armor details and smoother animations. This isn’t purchased directly from the store; rather, it’s to be unlocked by event missions or Battle Pass.

Alistar – Elderwood Alistar

Although not quite part of the Darkin set, Elderwood Alistar is also arriving in the same patch. The Epic skin at 1,350 RP bestows upon him a magical forest appearance.

Darkin in League of Legends are essentially old weapons that warp and taint their wielders, such as Aatrox, Rhaast, and Varus. This new set takes that idea to additional champions who were never included in the original story. Riot blends creepy visuals with altered voice lines and blacker effects to make it feel more appropriate.

Release Date

The skins will be live in Patch 25.17 on August 27, 2025. PBE test server already displaying splash arts and animations. Official schedule by Riot confirms this update date.

The Visions of the Fallen skins provide a dark, corrupted look to the game. Tryndamere, Garen, and Jarvan IV’s costumes lean even further into Darkin’s lore, while Elderwood Alistar provides a lighter fantasy feel within the same update. Patch 25.17 will include these skins, as well as new lore depth and visual interest.
