Partnered Valorant teams T1 and Evil geniuses have revealed their Valorant roster for the upcoming VCT 2023 season.
Evil Geniuses and T1 have made significant roster moves for VCT 2023, adding more excitement and hype to the offseason that has already been chaotic for partnered Valorant teams. While Evil Geniuses are planning to bolster a 10-men roster for the upcoming season, T1 has rounded out its roster with the addition of a former Overwatch pro. With the roster changes made by EG and T1, the majority of the partnered teams now have their lineups in place, boosting the excitement for Valorant’s most anticipated event, the VCT 2023 Kickoff event.
T1 round out its roster with Carpe
With the acquisition of former Overwatch player Lee “Carpe” Jae-hyeok, T1 has completed its lineup for the 2023 VCT Season. The former OWL superstar Carpe left Philadelphia Fusion today to compete in the upcoming partnered Valorant league for T1. Carpe has been an integral part of the Overwatch landscape since the 2018 OWL season, representing the Fusion across all five OWL seasons.

When T1 makes its VCT Pacific League debut in 2023, Carpe will run into Patiphan “Patiphan” Chaiwong and Park “Bazzi” Jun-ki, two former OWL rivals who now play for Global Esports and Talon Esports, respectively.

Evil Geniuses adds two new players to its 10-men Valorant roster
Evil Geniuses is the only organization in the Americas League that has been relatively quiet in the offseason. However, the team finally made its first move, adding two popular players for the upcoming campaign. The organization has acquired former XSET player Brendan “BcJ” Jensen and former NRG player Ethan “Ethan” Arnold. Furthermore, Evil Geniuses’ head coach Christine “potter” Chi confirmed that the organization intends to assemble a 10-man Valorant roster for the VCT 2023 season, unlike other partnered teams in the Americas League.

Evil Geniuses Valorant roster:
- Kelden “Boostio” Pupello
- Jeffrey “Reformed” Lu
- Alexander “jawgemo” Mor
- Corbin “C0M” Lee
- Vincent “Apotheon” Le
- Ethan “Ethan” Arnold
- Brendan “BcJ” Jensen
With all five members of its previous Valorant squad retained, only three spots are open for new recruits in EG. However, there was no mention of which of the current players will be active on the roster in the official announcement. The organization is anticipated to spend more time experimenting with the 10-man roster during the off-season in an effort to pick an efficient starting five as well as a capable substitute. The organization has plenty of time to modify its active roster, though, since the pre-season window still has more than two months to close out.
