VALORANT’s international competition, including the African, European, and Middle East regions, the VCT EMEA League, begins today, Monday, March 27, 2023, and the ten Riot Games franchised teams will fight for a ticket to VALORANT Champions 2023 and Masters Tokyo.

In this first edition of the VCT EMEA League under the Riot Games franchise system, we will see if Fnatic can keep the level of play that led them to be crowned at the VCT LOCK//IN Sao Paulo 2023 in February this year. In addition, we have great contenders such as NaVi and Vitality, among others.

Join us to learn everything you need about this VCT EMEA League 2023.

VCT EMEA League 2023 – Details

As mentioned, the VCT EMEA League 2023 will kick off today, Monday, March 27, and run until May 28, 2023, when the Grand Final match will be played.

Format

As mentioned, the VCT EMEA League 2023 will feature ten teams from the region. Currently, the franchise clubs are made up of 10 teams, although this number will gradually increase in the coming years. As a result, the 2024 edition will have guaranteed places for the teams that win the VALORANT Challengers EMEA 2023.

The two stages played in the VCT EMEA League are the Regular Season and Playoffs. First, the regular season includes an eight-week schedule with games on Wednesdays and Thursdays. However, the only exception is the week all crucial matches are played. In addition, all matches are best-of-three (BO3).

When the regular season ends, the top six teams will advance to the double-elimination playoffs with Upper and Lower Brackets. Except for the Grand Final, which will be best-of-five (BO5), all games in this phase are best-of-three (BO3).

The top four teams in the VCT EMEA League 2023 are guaranteed a ticket to the VALORANT Masters Tokyo. On the other hand, the first three places will get their ticket to the VALORANT Champions 2023.

Remember that the EMEA region has an extra place for the Masters Tokyo, thanks to Fnatic’s victory at the VCT LOCK//IN Sao Paulo.
