Vanity, leaf, Xeppa will reportedly play CS:GO tournament together

The old legendary Valorant Trio will be back in action again for Cloud9 to compete in a CS: Go... Shubh | 9. April 2022

The old legendary Valorant Trio will be back in action again for Cloud9 to compete in a CS: Go tournament. According to a report, Xeppa, Vanity, and leaf will be a part of Cloud9’s Counterstrike roster for the upcoming ESEA Spring Cash Cup 2.

Nathan “leaf” Orf, Anthony “vanity” Malaspina, and Erick “Xeppaa” were in the spotlight between 2019 and 2020 as top CS: GO players. They were part of the Chaos roster in 2020 and together they won many CS: GO leagues in the North American region including DreamHack Masters and IEM Beijing.

Despite their fantastic performances throughout the year, the roster was disbanded at the end of the year. After their release, the trio switched their esports career to Riot’s Valorant. Now, after a year the team is making a comeback in their original fame game, Counter-Strike to compete in the  ESEA Spring Cash Cup.

Cloud9 was able to break out of its rut by finishing third in the VCT 2022: North America Stage 1 Challenger. However, they were unable to qualify for Masters Reykjavik after losing 3-0 against team Guard in the lower bracket finals.

Cloud9’s players are using their free time to compete in the Cash cup

The main reason for their reunion in CS: GO is certainly their failure of not qualifying for VCT Masters One, Reykjavik. T1’s Valorant player Curry and Luminosity’s VALORANT player Adam “mada” Pampuch are also not attending Masters Reykjavík. Both players will reportedly join Cloud9 to compete in the Cash Cup.

Although it’s always fascinating to see these players competing together in an event, neither of these players is considering a permanent return to CS: GO. In the last few months, many esports players left Valorant’s esports scene and went back to Counter-Strike.

Recently, Timothy “autimatic” Ta and Ricky “floppy” Kemery made headlines by leaving the VALORANT scene and moving to CS: GO again. However, the trio will be seen again in the ESEA Spring Cash Cup Two which will be played between April 9 and 10.
